I guess there could be a "PVE" variant of this instance, but due to the "lesser risk", the reward would also need to be lesser. Reduced droprates for example. Thanks Yara.

bumping and supporting, this seems like it'd be a very interesting way to play the game, as well as give me a bit more breathing room in regards to PKers, (i'm a skiller, thia would actually let me fight back without riskinfg main game wealth))

For sure, risking your in game wealth is just a recipe for disaster. It's horrible.
Many players quit when this happens. It's just too punishing and difficult to recover from.

I think you've misunderstood and also posted about my the new wild thread.
The new wild isn't a replacement/revitalization of the current wilderness, it's an addition.
The current wilderness stays the same.
There were many reasons why I chose to instance it, off the top of my head, some of those reasons were:
To funnel players from all worlds, so that PVP encounters are drastically increased.
To leave the current wilderness undisturbed.
To create an entirely new type of survivalist/every man for himself type of gameplay.
To make it
impossible
for a player to lose their items from the main game.
To have an entirely independent and old-style economy.
(players must obtain the items within the instance).
Items gained are saved on your account, so you can log out, play normal runescape and return to the new wild whenever - and have your hard earned items still there in your "the new wild" bank.
I disagree with the idea that someone with a skull should be able to be piled.
Single / multi worlds are the way to go. Either that, or a single/multi toggle.
My idea was no teleports, but I don't mind if they are only restricted in combat.
I didn't want to create new achievements in the new wild, because I don't want to force anyone to engage in the content. It's mostly for fun and thrills - but additionally some rewards as well.
As mentioned previously, this isn't meant to be familiar. I don't want to imitate the current wilderness. This is "the new wild". Not the familiar wild
People are more greatly rewarded for their ability to survive, and also, their ability to fight as well. That's where the point system shines, in my opinion.

It may have been brought up through these comments, I’m at work haven’t had time to read them all. But I’d bet 90% of active pkers who roam the wild do it because they actually want to ruin peoples day lol. I get the whole risk/reward thing but 99/100 kills in the wild im betting is just someone going to play a skiller. They should just make 1-2 worlds where pking is allowed everywhere. I actively avoid the wild but the few times I’ve been there and ran into pkers they don’t even assess what you are doing they’ve already begun assault the instant they see a dot on the minimap.
Pking is just a play style I have zero interest in and I hate that a fair amount of content is hidden behind it, but oh well I can’t control that. I believe there should be PvP only worlds where you can pk everywhere when people join that world they know what they’ve gotten themselves into, and the wilderness in normal worlds should remove PvP. Already know that’s gunna anger the small portion of PKers left in this game.
To be clear, your idea is completely fine with me, if it lived within the 1-2 worlds I mentioned in my last reply. Tired of being forced Into PvP situations that I just have no interest being a part of.
I wouldn't be surprised. A lot of pkers are griefers these days, unfortunately.
Yeah, skillers are often victims. In the new wild, many resources will be stackable - allowing skillers to have enough inventory space for food and therefore can retaliate with a considerable chance of victory.
No worries, pvp isn't for everyone
This is planned to be instanced, so only people that specifically choose to partake in the content will be placed in this chaotic pvp free for all world. No one will be forced to. There will be no achievements that content on the "outside" is locked behind.
