This is an extremely well thought out idea. Kudos to you. Personally, I'm not into PvP. But I recognize that PvP is eternally in a dire state. And as a non-PvP player, I am among those who find the Wilderness a frustrating place. Having things in there that I feel like I'm obligated to do, only to get grief-killed by PKers for no reward on their part...
I've made my peace with it. I don't mind limiting myself by simply not taking part in anything in the Wilderness. But I think all sides win with your suggestion.
I concur that nothing can really fix toxic communities. It's a shame, really. Players are usually the source of most problems in the MMO scene these days. Not just toxic communities, but also lack of originality. Developers are so afraid of doing anything new because players are so incredibly aghast at the idea of anything changing. It's enough to put anyone who doesn't belong to the "mainstream" group of gamers off of MMOs entirely. Though thankfully, Jagex is one of the few developers that can still see the value outside the mainstream. Or maybe it's just Runescape's age and huge amount of content. Anyways, I digress.
I'm all for making PvP in RuneScape a true PvP experience, for PvPers to enjoy and be able to progress while doing it.
