when I was younger I used to go in the wildy empy, so I can get behind this.
It was always fun running into the bandit camp hoping to not get killed to steal some very needed food or finding some iron helmet.
I never minded pvp stuff though, even now. though I rarely see actually almost never see anyone not either at the border or lodestone/volcano now.

Even having to flee could be exciting. I never bring important stuff anyways, and even make multiple sets of rune now for it I want something. GREY ARMADYLEANs

I made a suggestion a while back on an instanced wilderness but it's not on my thread list anymore. It was to create portals in the wilderness, several portals for each monster. This way, PKers would have to guess what portal someone is in and when a PKer enters a portal, the player in the portal would get notified of a PKer. This is sort of like an Opt-in/out PvP but I added to it in that there would be given time for the players in the portals to bank within the instances to go to combat with the PKers. I think I even remember saying that they have the option whether or not to PK incoming PKers by selecting to bank for PvP or continue PvM. If they selected to continue to PvM, the PKer would have the kill for sure. The thing is the "PKer" could potentially just be another PvMer. So, if the PvMer in the portal would Opt out of PvP the PvMer/PKer entering would choose freely to PvM alongside of PK the player.

If they made this 100% Opt-in/Opt-out, this would look like the above scenario except the player entering the portal would choose PK or PvM, the PvMer in the portal would get notified of a PKer entering if they chose PK, then they could Opt-in for PKing as well. This would be a short time frame though, as this is all happening upon a player entering or leaving an instanced PvM portal.

We'll see how they do it.

I don't know how I missed this thread. I have a few notes I may edit into here later on if I feel like it before the (potential) closure, but overall I support :)
