Og partyhats were obtained from a 5 minute event accessible to everyone. Golden partyhat will require rng based activites/30m gp etc to obtain at least 8 shards. In fact this partyhat will be rarer then og partyhats. What might make them common is how long the event is but still somewhat gridy way of obtaining 1.

Hi,

Personally I would be happy with it,
Is it a Gold Party_hat or Gold Partyhat?

I really hope its an original look of a partyhat, with just another sort yellow color.

I doubt a bit about the look of it.
Is there any reason that they do not show it on an avatar/player?

If I check the homepage with on the top of the decoration tent:
I see the gold party_hat is sloping outwards?
Not straight like an original.

I should be very happy , if its official a partyhat like p-y-g-r-w and blue.
I cannot afford them anymore.

There must be something, which is misleading,
Getting this nice presented partyhat on the news with
1 amount of 30m cash / training skills & 1 premier club token + few other things?

I rarely believe it...
But I hope it comes true for many of us.

The real partyhat owners don't have to be worried.
Otherwise there would have been panic in world 2 long ago.

Any estimates yet on the likely quantity which will get released? I've no idea if we're talking 100k, or 1m...? How does that stack up against things like fish masks, crown of seasons and christmas tree hat?

If there will be an option to buy a shard for 30m, then presumably Jagex are expecting the golden partyhat to be trading at 30m+.

RE whether this will affect current partyhat prices - I don't see why it should make much of a difference.

I dunno the details of anything, not paying attention. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Edit: By the way, if you want to show status and power, show pvm titles. Evil Lucario is the most powerful player in this game ;) If you can’t have an og Pokémon card irl, you can come to rs for a phat. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. That is very hard to say but it certainly won't even come close to 1M.
Fish masks, Crowns of seasons and Christmas tree hats are all more common than original discontinued rares but their number is decent, nothing too big. However, Golden partyhats will be way, way more common than these items and I'm not sure what to think about it.
I do support releasing new rares from time to time and I'm writing this for years but is this right way to do it? I highly doubt.
Wreaths, Black santa hats and Scythes are both great idea and great execution because of limited numbers of each item and the way of obtaining them. Nothing will change about old original partyhats but I'm afraid the name "partyhat" will get devalued by this. In terms of rarity, Fish mask will act as a Cracker compared to new "partyhat" and I think that is very wrong.
Very simple solutions, you can pick any you like.

1. Limit their number to 20K because it's 20th anniversary. Number is still somewhat high for a partyhat but it's not too terrible and huge ammount of players will still be able to get it.
2. Exclude alts from obtaining them, level 3 with few hours of afking for a partyhat? Not really a great idea.
3. Put total level requirement or age requirement.
4. Make shards MUCH harder to obtain.

Well said and i agree, to be a top pvm'er in todays gameplay takes balls, nerve, coolness and skill.
