As someone that owns rares, I say... why not? Rerelease everything. That way people focus on playing the game and the activities this game has to offer. Maybe Jagex can focus next on revamping castle wars and soul wars.... more content for group activities... These topics only break us apart as a community. The elite vs the middle class lol
I am only saying for now that's the impact I believe it will have on other rares. Jagex has not mentioned anything about other rares (but hopefully they do).

As someone that owns rares, I say... why not? Rerelease everything. That way people focus on playing the game and the activities this game has to offer. No one is going to give a player mad respect for wearing a common hat with millions of them in-game no matter the similarity. It'll be obvious who is wearing the expensive partyhat and which one is wearing the BRASS one. We already had this discussion when rainbow partyhat came out. Tons of people ranted about how a rainbow partyhat would spell doom for the classic partyhats by creating an alternative (free and untradable) partyhat for people to wear.
People who wear 30m hats or 100m hats (if it gets to that price) aren't in the same market as the ones who wear 50b or 100b hats. Luxury goods and inferior goods are not in the same market.
Look at partyhat lending. If a person can pay a few mill to wear a 'real' partyhat for an extended period of time, shouldn't that kill demand to own a 'real' partyhat? If phat lending didn't crash partyhats, then a BRASS phat sure as hell won't. If you are willing to chuck your most precious possessions like phats because someone said words like crashing/dying/quitting and then find yourself unable to rebuy for what you sold for, then you don't deserve to own a phat.
