I expect that if we pester Jagex long enough they will finally see that we really want this. If anything this update will probably be the big update of the year. seeing as the big one of this year will be the new skill i'm guessing the world expansion might happen sometime late 2015.

I agree, the f2p world is getting cramped. I really enjoyed the game several years ago, and I was an avid f2p player for years before I became a member. South of Falador has been the go to spot for content to be placed, there's just no space for trees like there used to be.

I do think all the teleports add to the issue.

I remember completing one of the elf quests, and upon completion, the quest journal read something like "I met a group of elves in a small valley... something about secluded... and killing the Elven king or something" Anyway, it struck me because I didn't realize that Llyetta was considered to be a "tiny village hidden in a valley". I guess you have to use your imagination while playing, but it would be neat for the landscape to reflect the stories by putting them in a geographical context.

Scaling up the world, as various people have described and suggested in this thread would be a huge project - not only would it require a complete redrawing and designing of the whole world but it

well i suggest you start working on it mr smart guy, cuz every1 wants this to happen

For me, the thrill of entering a medieval/fantasy world is exploring the unknown and unexplored. To find some new place that no one has before, to see things none have seen!

But...

It took 9 months and 35 pages before someone decided that the thread warranted a response.

Jagex doesn't want to expand the world. They are not going to expand the world. If Jagex was the slightest bit honest with themselves, they can plainly see the growing need for it.

So much for Power to the Players...
Why does a hand-thrown water balloon have TWICE the range of my best bow?!?

I would be quite all right with the team taking a long break from content creation to scale the world up to be larger. It's a massive undertaking that would require a lot of time and effort that could be put into new content, but as it stands, the world is so small, new content barely has anywhere to be put, except for holes in the ground that lead us to an instanced dungeon off the map. We're running out of space. The world doesn't just need to be scaled up, it needs to be bigger if it wants to keep growing without having everything be a portal or a hole in the ground.
It doesn't feel like an actual world, I guess.
