Players come, players go. That's why Jagex are talking about brining back lapsed players and branching out to uncharted business sectors to acquire new players.

FSW is such an initiative specifically designed to acquire, retain and monetize new and lapsed players. This is actually a very good thing for existing players when Jagex get other players to monetize, hence they don't have to go all out and monetize RS3 and OSRS.

I get that the halos etc are supposed to be discontinued rares of the fresh start worlds, but are jagex doing a repeat of the 2001 christmas event in fresh start worlds? Wondering because if og discontinued rares are dropped in fsw, then when they are brought over to the main game all rares will crash hard. Or are discontinued rares like phats hweens santas not coming to fresh start worlds? The news article didn't say anything about this.
