My guess is that the noble who dies will be Draul Leptoc, a forgotten noble from the removed Romeo and Juliet quest.
Why? Two reasons.
One. Draul Leptoc's name is still in the Varrock Census, indicating that he's still a canonical Varrock resident despite not appearing in RS3 since 2010.
Two: In Closure's study, there are many biographies of RuneScape characters who have died at least once. One of them is "Draul Leptoc: My Murderer's Name Is ... And Other Unfinished Sayings".
That might have been the developer getting him confused with Lord Sinclair of the Murder Mystery quest, or it might be an explanation as to whatever happened to Draul Leptoc after he disappeared in 2010. Or it might be foreshadowing for his being the murder victim in the Fort Forinthry storyline.
