I wasn't objecting to the quest cape going away, just a little sad. As I added, I agree that something substantial needs to be done about the current cape situation.

Myeah. At the very least, the current capes of achievement/distinction relevant to this rework should remain available for their looks at least cosmetically. I don't know what the new quest cape is going to look like, for instance, and even if it's very good, I'm still attached to the current design (well the current retro design, at least, the one with shoulder pads).

The quest cape and Master Quest Cape should remain in game as legacy versions like the Comp and Trim.!!!!

The MQC has a lot of requirements like Comp/Trim that takes forever to do. To obtain lore books, someone has to do multiple kills in order to obtain them not 1 which is required for Comp/Trim. Some Comp/Trim reqs can be bought/leeched where no one is going to spend the time for you to kill 100+ beasts for your MQC. I feel the removal of these capes belittles the effort and hours someone spent to obtain the MQC .

Please have MQC and Quest cape as a legacy cape!!!!!!!!

All sounds good. While we're at it could you please make a 200m all skills, skill cape basically make it a trimmed max cape like the trim comp is to a current comp cape. If you're thinking no, just remember, 120 capes are very popular, make something for the high xp dreamers to go for.

Currently there are 500+ players with 5.4b. If that design is a no go, then create a new one and implement it.

Actually, addendum to my posts on page 9:

Lore does not equal quests. Quests feature lore, thinking, exploration, combat and puzzles, and heck, in some cases even music and graphics as gameplay (rather than background) aspects. I'm fine with the quest cape being the tier 1 lore cape, but there category should be more aptly named.

I went from completionist cape to trim in the last 8 months Started around June and finished around January of this year. Every requirement I found to be do-able. CW was grueling but I got it done. I am not the smartest player, nor the most time-efficient, nor the best pvmer. I don't grind 12 hours a day most of the time and don't have excellent strategy or too clear a path to complete all the laundry list of tasks set before me. Yet I got trim completionist cape done. If I can do it, why can't anyone? 2018-2019 proves that no content is out of reach. I've proved that even being mediocre in all things RuneScape, I can still have golden particles in spite of myself.

I stopped reading after page 6, but I only found maybe a handful of positive responses regarding this much hyped update that I didn't even know was hyped until Jagex mentioned it. Jagex reminds me of that manager at work that hears the complaint of one employee but is so disconnected that they assume it's a major problem with the framework of all the team members. There wasn't a problem until Jagex and a handful of players created it. How many years has completionist cape worked? Longer than most things in RuneScape.

Make a middle tier cape between Max and comp and make your cute little categories and make each sub-comp cape the same stats as comp. Add a grace period if you wish. Solves every imaginary problem created. Never did I think part of my journey to comp would be spent fighting for its survival. Talk about XP waste.

You guys do know they're not actually getting rid of anything, right?
Max cape -> Skill 1
Quest cape -> Lore 1
MQC -> Lore 3
Trimmed Comp -> Comp 3 AND Legacy Trimmed Comp.

Nothing they put in here is erasing any of your hard work. I think the whole thing looks awesome and look forward to implementation.

Any word on when that would be?

I have lost and regained the comp cape for years now and to be quite honest, i just want to wear the cape as a cosmetic, as I am just going for 120's. The game has basically lost interest to me because most of the newer content is not appealing anymore. I think they should make it so the comp cape (once attainable) will always be kept once achieved, and RuneScore or something to track achievements is more visible to other players than having to inspect a player to see the stats. Something other than continuously losing that seemingly endless cape is very frustrating!

My thoughts as a past owner of trim, currently "all but Solak" done, because I don't want to pay for a leech and can't play enough right now to complete it legit. Also owner of MQC.

- Don't remove max cape. It's completely separate from comp.
- Don't remove the prestige of MQC. It's considered the hardest Master cape for a reason and has amazingly diverse set of requirements. I think it could remain separate from the comp cape scheme.
- Best cape for PVM should come from PVM. Include PVM-related tasks and other requirements to it. Maybe not final boss, but some kc reqs should be ok for the best tier.
- There really needs to be a "god tier" cape of achievement, such as trim is currently now. Yes, you could remove stuff like Castle Wars or at least make it easier, I guess, but an actually hard "trim" cape should remain. Some pvm should be included, but very carefully. Personally I have nothing against "the Reaper" title being a requirement for this cape, because the purpose of the cape is to be about completing everything. Prestige of the cape is of utmost importance.
