The most minigames are over 10 years old, most of the minigames have never been reworked.

That means for example that Pest Controll ( Release Date 18 April 2006 -> 17 years old ~ minigame) has rewards / mechanics based on the exp rates / dps rates of 2006, which as we know were very low.

of course that no one will play a minigame that gives 100 k combat exp / per hour from rewards per hour, the seed, mineral or herb pack are simply a joke in 2023 (30 k gp per 30 points spend) which at 100 points per hour would be whopping 90 k gp profit (single overload costs more)

so what i am trying to say is that most of minigames are not only dead, but as for rates in 2023 the rewards are simply a joke and not worth the time, therefore it would be nice to see either a minigame rework in the future, or a complete removal from the game since it's impossible to find an active world for any given minigame even when on Spotlight, castle wars is currently the most active minigame with peak of 6 players per game if your lucky

as for the future, maybe we can except some minigames where we could make some decent money ? and not only be limited to Pvm / skilling / shop runs

thanks for your time

I'm certainly all-for seeing alot of the mini-games revitalized. Over the years, alot of the rewards and cosmetics from them seemingly have been outdone by MTX.

Yet - a new title and/or pet for some of the games would certainly breathe some life into the games, if-only temporarily.

Old minigames won't be revived or removed. RS3 has said in many occasions about it.

A lot of key minigames rewards have been moved to the Thaler stores while many others are re-distributed to other sources. That's the way of old minigames. I recall some Jmod said something like "let them die" but not removed as they move onto the new forms of minigames in D&D and Flash Events. They probably can still move some more rewards from specific old minigames to the Thalar Store and that's about it.

id settle for some kind of bot supported lower player count versions. some minigames are stupid to play but possible, like bonanza, but others flat out cant be, like stealing creation. getting the crafting and fletching set on an ironman is really annoying when you need 55 games at least to get the whole set and the only time you can do them is on spotlight. couldnt be too hard to set up npcs that only exist in the game and are replaced by any players who are actually involved.

I 100% agree with the thread creator

I suggest that we remove Jagex and put someone else on the throne that allows humanity to actually grow.

I myself played this game growing up, it had so many diverse activity's and you could tell it was actually created by someone who LOVED creating something FUTURISTIC , and not just pixel wise.

Hopefully Jagex can take a hint, although this is pretty blunt it's necessary looking at not only my own past threads but other peoples as well.

Flash Events and D&D are the new minigames. Players pay, players say. They ones who paid spoke and Jagex listened.

Look at how many players are doing the Wildy Flash Events and how many of them still care about the old crap like BA then the question is answered already.

it wouldnt be so bad if the minigames basically impossible to get started outside the 3 days every god knows when werent either required for gear or goals. its not like they dont have systems able to be popped in to make them work even when off spotlight.

100% false, this isn't OSRS and nobody is chanting for D&D's, go look at the most recent twitch stream and listen to the Jagex team even declare the wilderness update to be a failure, because it is.

The only thing I've seen from players about flash events are questions like * Is the wilderness dead already? *

Truth does more good than bad.

The fact they ignored minigames for D&D's shows the low's that RS3 has gotten to in the past, they clearly didn't have the player base to support community games and started to trend towards supporting SOLO content.

There is nothing significant about that.

-----

My main point is, they have to take a knee and take a profession honest approach to this situation, yes it will make them look terrible but it will eventually turn out better in the long run. Now they have returning players looking at the game in a totally different view, Jagex clearly wanted to manipulate players in many different ways.

There are kind humans in the world , and they are good at making things work especially in healthy environments and forgiveness is a specialty, but there's nothing they can do when they get consistently lied to from big businesses looking for profits.

Jagex needs to support at least one community minigame, stop ignoring players and common sense.

Stop adding crazy good rewards to solo D&D's to manipulate and pay off players for their silence, because it ain't working.

I'm not anti D&D, but when they are clearly ignoring important content updates and PVP as a whole, this is obviously an investment issue with the company and this does not make it right to manipulate humans.

I've said this before, this game is covered with manipulation tactics from head to toe, I'm actually surprised they aren't getting sued to the ground.

Sad to see it happen to one of the greatest games ever created *past tense*

Who care about OSRS when they don't even have Wildy Flash Events?

All the heaps and heaps of players participating in Wildy Flash Events and virtually nobody doing minigames like BA in both RS3 and OSRS speaks volume. They like the new formats of minigames - Flash Events and D&D.

Jagex said Wildy Flash Evens is a "failure" on Twitch???? Big joke! The RS3 team weren't even visible the last few months. If it is a failure then we won't see all those players there and none in BA and such in both RS3 and OSRS.

They just don't care about old minigames. They re-distributed most of the old minigame rewards to the Thaler Store for that reason. In RS3, at least we can still play old minigames like BA and/or obtain the more relevant rewards thanks to the RS3 Minigame Spotlight system.
