Just for a mere RS3 Necromancy skill, the team and investments are so "tiny". And they said it is only the beginning, as like Fort Forinthry, construction is ongoing and we are going to get all kinds of minigames, events and such in City of Um and other places.

The RS3 team always walk the walk in tandem of the direction with Jagex. They don't just talk and talk and talk with nothing but hot air.

That's almost their entire team, and Necromancy is almost an entire years worth of development work and we still don't even know when it will be released....... Also keep in mind only certain people are qualified to actually work on content, some just do baseline work.

Anyway I really do not want to talk about Necromancy on this thread anymore, it's incredibly boring for me and already overrated and has nothing to do with minigames which this thread is intended for. Necro is a combat skill that's similar to the other 3 we already have, with some extra stuff attached to it to slowly and boringly amuse people for a year or longer.

You are right but wrong, they don't talk about minigames so they most certainly don't talk about nothing but hot air but they do and have talked about RuneScape in the wrong direction of where it should go. We cannot give Jagex any credit towards minigames because they have not released 1 community minigame that stands out or compliments all the amazing past ones we've had, and they should have by now.

The one thing they've done are the wildy flash events, I would never call it a minigame and it's terrible. It's a low tier pest control put into the wilderness to try to make it seem more interesting than it is, it's limited and timely activated and the rewards are garbage.

Did I mention it actually deleted the profound iconic Wilderness that most of the ELITE VETS all started out in? a low quality pest control is pretty low for such a replacement I'd say. The only waves being made here are the waves on my boring meter and for some reason they go off a lot when it comes to RS3.

This would be the true update that would have given us the privilege to play as RuneScape players, and bring interest to the game for new or returning vets.

An environment for every kind of player, PVP, PVM, Skiller, Quester and explorer all held inside the wilderness with great rewards.

Considering that the 2 big things they've worked on "lately" were Necromancy and the Fort Forinthry story line, guess it is surprising they've managed to get anything else done in the last few months.

But other than that, Dilbert, you might want to stop posting on Necromancy as it his little to do with Minigames ...... unless there will be a Necromancy minigame. Besides, plenty of other active threads up on talking about Necromancy.

Very wrong! Those are the members of the episodic teams, artists and etc. There are also other teams in RS3 not working on Necromancy such as Live Ops who are responsible for live events like DXP, Golden Cape Hunt, Summer Beach etc. There are also teams working on QoL updates like ninja strikes, minigame etc. There are also members liasing with the Jagex engine and infrastructure teams, working on game ticks, VFX engine etc. Of course, a new skill is a big project. Archaeology took 15 months to develop. Necromancy is even bigger.

What you think "big things" may not be "big" to other players. Some may rather have "big" things like Golden Cape hunt. Even if you are just looking at Fort Forinthry as your "big" thing, you realized it is a story line updates. It is not just a one-off update. If they don't put Fort Forinthry in the titles of these updates, we can easily see there are actually multiple good sized updates.

I don't want to talk about Necromancy alone. It is the other players like the one who posted above your post I replied to now keep bringing it up. I am talking about minigames. Oh! Why are you talking about Fort Forinthry and Necromancy too when you know they aren't minigames?

It is still the same thing from your "entire paragraph". There is no such thing as "baseline" work. Every member in the RS3 and OSRS development teams is important to their specific team, regardless they are an artist, a composer, a community manager or a content developer.

@ Dilbert

As I said I don't care about the smaller devs that do small content drops just to try and tip toe our current players through a year for the current company in charge, I care about the game changer developers that can actually work on big projects and drop something special for the community.

RS3 has what? about 10-15 of those developers? 3-4 of them are mainly put on one project and if any problems arise the company's pretty much in a rut for years.... look at the max cash update that I think few players even cared for, just an easy example of the lack of competence this company has for the community.
