What iconic minigames? The old minigames aren't even being played by Oldschool Runescape players much. Even OSRS is not going to rework BA, Castle Wars and such, why should RS3?

Don't you see almost all the old minigames are still here in RS3? They aren't being replaced by anything new. RS3 just added a lot more choices for all kinds of players.

This is RS3, not OSRS and if you want to talk about OSRS which is a totally different game, different community and a game that still supports PVP and such in different environments, you should go make a thread about it because on RS3 we literally have nothing at all that relates to PVP and community minigames and that is something you can't say at all about OSRS.

For all we know people on OSRS don't even really enjoy the game, they just AFK just like most RS3 players do until Jagex figures out their bad content onslaught they've been doing for close to a decade now and clearly RS3 isn't on their radar at all.

BTW those minigames are still being played on OSRS, so once again those statements are false, I logged in on hours that aren't considered peak hours and people were in lobbys.

We have already gone through the OSRS part. You and the other players keep bringing comparing RS3 minigames to OSRS first and you argue with each other throughout this thread.

OSRS players are Jagex players too. We share most of the old minigames. Even OSRS Jmods talk about RS3 minigames when they copied Soul Wars and Shooting Starss. And they talked about Evil Tree when they designed Forestry, plus they compare Sailing to Player Owned Port.

All day today I've seen advertisements on social media for OSRS for a new event regarding new PVP in the wilderness environment with brand new rewards, I really have no idea why you're comparing OSRS to RS3 in regards to not supporting community minigames or PVP.

You're trolling and use every excuse in the book, just like Jagex and their data exacerbations.

If you don't have any idea of what I am talking about new and old minigames in RS3 and OSRS, you don't have to reply to me.

My comments are meant for everybody who care about minigames, new and old, or remove them as OP suggested.

Your first post earlier today is under this, and I most certainly do understand and I replied to you, you just decided not to reply back to the answer to why you're incorrect.

Necromancy is revealed! It is the most comprehensive skill ever to Jagex. There are also lots of Jmods involved. Be prepared for new minigames in the bland new City of Um.

Your first post you made today on this thread was speaking on how Necromancy came out so all our minigame problems were solved because it supported the current D&D's integrating into the new area and somehow new minigames were going to come from Necromancy.

This is 100% false and from your other posts, you've tried to derail this entire thread by supporting D&D's and the wildy flash events continuously, a minigame that can be barley considered a minigame compared to our older legitimate iconic minigames.

Once again, 100% a troll we got here.....

Nobody said anything about Necromancy solving any minigame "problems".

We are just glad there are potential new things we can add to new minigames through Necromancy, including money making OP is interested in, and of course more choices too.

Glad to see you're in favor of new minigames for RuneScape! Thanks for changing your older opinion on the matter Dilbert.

Honestly they should just remove most minigames, there are too many.

We only need soul wars, fist of guthix, pest control and castle wars.

I agree, but they need to solidify at least one community minigame, they can easily make one that resembles the older castle wars, soul wars, fight pits, pest control and wilderness content pieces in todays current RS3 format, we currently have nothing at all and it's been 10 years!!

I am always for new content, minigames or not. I even strongly recommended the likes of BGH, Herby Werby that came out around the Archaeology time. I certain want to see new minigames in the City of Um if they are good. I even suggested we may have even better Barrows like Rise of the Eight, or Nine or Ten instead of Rise of the Six now.

All along, the point is we, meaning not just me, but Jagex (meaning both RS3, OSRS and other Runescape franchise games) aren't keen on reworking very old minigames like BA and Castle Wars.

Why not repurpose one of the minigames into a Necromancy skilling area? (sort of like the Duel Arena rework)

Imagine Fist of Guthix becoming an area where you use the ambient energy to summon undead and use the energy to destroy the energy of the area to try to permanently remove the energy in the arena.

General concept: Fist of Guthix loses the PvP minigame aspect and instead becomes a new Necromancy primarily skill training area.

Suggested Story

The followers have Guthix have tried for years to contain the energy in the Fist of Guthix (once a place that hid the Stone of Jas). Sadly, between the destruction and re-establishment of the Edicts of Guthix, the 6th Age God Wars, the Elder Gods waking up and that subsequent conflict, [requisite Ruenscape noodle incident], and frankly that the barriers of the Fist of Guthix have been strained and degrading for millennia just trying to keep the residual energy contained .. the barrier simply started to crack.

Elder God anima has seeped in and corrupted the residual energy of the stone of jas.

Things have come to a head as the energy has started to take a life of its own (pun intended).

For starters, it has begun to take strange shapes and even the appearance of former Stone Touchers and False Users.

Secondly ... it has started to reanimate the dead in the dungeon.

Fiara wants you to solve two problems at once:
- firstly ... containment of the energy is no longer possible. The Guardians of Guthix are going to solve the problem permanently by trying to actively use up the energy in the dungeon. It might take a while ... but might as well start now!

- secondly ... they want to use Necromancy as a way to counter it. By using the energy in the dungeon as a medium to aid you (much like how Lucien was able to use the Staff of Armady in necromancy to summon powerful undead heroes)
