On topic - I think its a real shame they have added cosmetics due to a bug that happened.... I agree the accounts should be credited with all the other stuff, but cosmetics due to a bug??? thats a first for jagex and I don't agree with it. Remember Caz. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Who said everybody has a chance to attend Runefest? There ae plenty who can't even go to London due to their countries policies. Again, not everybody has a chance to bid on items for charitable items. Residency among other regulatory restrictions prevent a lot of players to participate in such events.

Runefest is an announced event, its not spontaneous. You have about one year to get ready to go and attend that event. If ppl really want they can go to Runefest( I also would like to mention that Runefest was an event that took place before the pandemic situation-so no country leaving policies or w/e, further supporting the fact that players who really wanted to attend that event could have been there). To some going to Runefest is a more difficult than it is to others, but the power to decide to attend that event is in the players hands.

Even if you try to get ready for 100 years, if your country doesn't let you go there, you simply can't.

If you live in a country that wont let you leave it I dobut it even gives its citizens internet access. Given the fact that NO WESTERN COUNTRY has such totalitarian rules leaves place only for anti western countries to have

Players from China are known to be able to play Runescape even from prisons for years. Yes, they do have access of internet but they just don't have the freedom to go abroad at will.

Just because RS3 doesn't do this with holiday items, namely the untradeable ones, doesn't mean they shouldn't . OSRS unlocks access to all previous items, irrespective of when it is that you complete the event. Only entitled brats consider this to be a bad thing. After all, newer players still missed out on the fun and nostalgia of the previous event(s). “Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.”

Exactly. Adding to that, he keeps arguing against us as if we're asking to be included in this exclusive cosmetic stuff, but we're clearly not. I guess we'll just have to repeat it until the end of time.

Nobody should get exclusive cosmetics from a bug in a game, nobody. It's not compensation, it's a bribe. There's a difference. Be the change you would like to see in the world.

I mean - keeping stuff exclusive for a competition wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing - see the golden gnomes or the golden scythe for that aspect - that is perfectly fine: At least everyone in theory would be able to get their shot on those. Or also some performance based event like the OS leagues - missing out on a trophy means you won't ever obtain them. Even for events (or to a lesser degree promotions, which partially are highly unfair to complete without a ludicrously high effort of time or money - which certainly went for the better the last couple of years) at least everyone would have their chance - but yeah: OS certainly did a better job at making the stuff available again, rs3 is inconsistent at that aspect.

But this whole action is such an incredible low blow. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

actually i think jagex should offer this and give enhanced rewards. because if you lock your account at a future date, you will not only be locked out like these players are, but they will still be updating the game. so you actually miss out on more content. it would be cool if we got 'the returned' pack but also some extra rewards for taking the challenge during a regular update period Buy Zemomarks / Chromatic Partyhats safely here
