Runefest is an announced event, its not spontaneous. You have about one year to get ready to go and attend that event. If ppl really want they can go to Runefest( I also would like to mention that Runefest was an event that took place before the pandemic situation-so no country leaving policies or w/e, further supporting the fact that players who really wanted to attend that event could have been there). To some going to Runefest is a more difficult than it is to others, but the power to decide to attend that event is in the players hands.

Even if you try to get ready for 100 years, if your country doesn't let you go there, you simply can't.

Exactly.

You cant predict the future so something might happen before the event starts that prevents you from attending so those ppl dont get the attendee items.

So just like in that case, not everyone can always get everything as jagex make up the rules of who gets what whenever they want to get out something.

I mean if they want to make a holiday event where they only give certain ppl a reward, they have that power.

Yes we know ppl like cosmetics as i am one of them, but just like i had to learn you cant always have everything you want.

Ive missed out on plenty of holiday events on rs3 so ill never have a chance at getting those rewards.

So if i can deal w/o certain cosmetics so can you and OP.

Yes and if ppl are to do that they'll get banned.

I dont see how rule breaking is an issue?

Ppl will do this regardless of if jagex did this or not.

So are you saying jagex should prevent ppl from making any new acc as thats the only way to prevent ppl from "making new ways to buy/sell acc"?

That's good advice, you should take it to heart.

About the buying and selling accounts, I don't even understand your question in regards to the topic here. Making a new account will not get you bugged and therefor entitle you to these exclusive rewards, so that point is irrelevant. It is also not what Kunst meant (please correct me if I'm wrong Kunst) and I have a feeling you know that very well.

You're taking his argument out of context to better suit your agenda, which is once again, derailing the thread. Stop it already.

Buying and selling accounts is against the rules, obviously and those involved in such activities should be banned permanently. However, there is a market for this, so to say it doesn't exist and therefor can't be a factor in decision making, is being blatantly ignorant. A stone's throw away from assumptions, if I recall.

I happen to think Kunst makes a very valid point. I've been a supporter on Path of Exile since early alpha and you would be surprised to find out what people are willing to spend on exclusivity. We're talking 5 digit figures here. If there is a will, there is a way. Be the change you would like to see in the world.

All i said is that jagex shouldnt be forced to not give out cosmetics due to said reasoning as im sure ppl are doing that for holiday items yet no one seems to care about that.

So this will happen no matter what so jagex shouldnt limit what they can/cant do due to other ppl's actions.

You're thinking so black and white. This is not *THE* reason to do this or not. This is one of many arguments in a discussion. It doesn't have to be the end of it. Every decision ever made had a list of pros and cons to it, even the ones made within split seconds. Think about it. Be the change you would like to see in the world.

Ok and this proves how that you should get what you want?

At the end of the day, jagex holds all the power and they have given the ppl who were locked out cosmetics as a "we're sorry" gift.

So why would they need to give ppl who werent affected a gift of that nature?

Why should they be feeling "sorry" to ppl who could play just fine?

If you live in a country that wont let you leave it I dobut it even gives its citizens internet access. Given the fact that NO WESTERN COUNTRY has such totalitarian rules leaves place only for anti western countries to have such policies, which laters means it wont even let you play a game from the West.
