Patently false. Most of the people itt, myself included, have historically complained about the dearth of updates. Look through some of my earlier posts if you don't believe me.

A return to form is doubly unappealing to me for this very reason.

You cant predict the future so something might happen before the event starts that prevents you from attending so those ppl dont get the attendee items.

So just like in that case, not everyone can always get everything as jagex make up the rules of who gets what whenever they want to get out something.

I mean if they want to make a holiday event where they only give certain ppl a reward, they have that power.

Having something interfere with your plans and stopping you from attending something doesnt mean you didnt had a chance in the first place. jagex is free to make up whatever rule they want, if they do something that affects the community they will have to deal with the outcome of their decisions.

Yep and the ruling here seems to be that they are only giving these cosmetics out to those affected.

Also, when havent they felt backlash from their choices? Remember the removal of free trade/wild? EoC? So this is nothing new on that front.

At the end of the day, jagex can do pretty much w/e they want with their game so ppl hold 0 rights to demand for more things.

We didn't get any updates for a whole month as a consequence. We were all affected. In fact, people were so affected by this that another game by the same company didn't get updates for a few weeks either.

Players do get a chance for Runefest items. They get the chance to buy a Runefest ticket and attend the event. Attending the event or not is up to them, but the opportunity to decide is given.

At the end of the day, jagex holds all the power and they have given the ppl who were locked out cosmetics as a "we're sorry" gift.

So why would they need to give ppl who werent affected a gift of that nature?

Why should they be feeling "sorry" to ppl who could play just fine?

Again and seriously, for the last time now, I never wanted exclusive cosmetics. I wasn't locked out of my account, I'm not entitled to anything. But I also don't advocate giving people cosmetics for something like this, a BUG. A really, really bad one at that. People lost more than a month of their time and had no idea if they would ever see their account back. They should be compensated appropriately , not with some shiny toilet paper. THAT is what I'm advocating.

Everyone was affected by this, as RuneScape events and updates were completely halted in order for everyone to work on getting the affected people back into the game. The rest of players have been patient and supportive of the team's efforts to my knowledge. It would be nice of Jagex to acknowledge this and give back to the community by not singling out a few individuals, just because they happened to be affected by this terrible bug. They deserve tangible compensation, xp boosts, free membership, bonds, keys, or as far as I'm concerned all of the above, but don't give them something nobody else can ever have.

When you have players asking to be affected by this bug for the rewards and others saying they are LUCKY to have been bugged, you know you've fucked up. Be the change you would like to see in the world.

Once again, no one said they were "special" jagex is the one calling us that.

So be mad at them on that issue if you're going to be mad at anyone.

Plus theres been no update weeks/months in the past yet no one complained about those, so how is this any differnt?
