We didn't get any updates for a whole month as a consequence. We were all affected. In fact, people were so affected by this that
another
game by the same company didn't get updates for a few weeks either.
You're not special.
Once again, no one said they were "special" jagex is the one calling us that.
So be mad at that on that issue if you're going to be mad at anyone.
Plus theres been no update weeks/months in the past yet no one complained about those, so how is this any differnt?
Players are indeed mad about on this issue, thats why this thread was created. Players have been complaining for a long time about the lack of updates, you have even been invited to check someones thread regarding that matter.
Having something interfere with your plans and stopping you from attending something doesnt mean you didnt had a chance in the first place. jagex is free to make up whatever rule they want, if they do something that affects the community they will have to deal with the outcome of their decisions.
Yep and the ruling here seems to be that they are only giving these cosmetics out to those affected.
Also, when havent they felt backlash from their choices? Remember the removal of free trade/wild? EoC? So this is nothing new on that front.
At the end of the day, jagex can do pretty much w/e they want with their game so ppl hold 0 rights to demand for more things.
Correct. They can do whatever they want. So can I. And it might just be that I'll choose to stop a few streams of revenue currently flowing into Jagex's bank accounts. Perhaps a few likeminded others will follow suit. Funny how that goes, right? It's almost as if.... oh yeah, choices have consequences and that's what we're discussing here.

Nope this thread was created to discuss the "the return" items jagex is giving out.
So plz dont derail the thread.
Your inability to make sense of OPs thread is your problem, not mine. This threads purpose is to point out that giving out exclusive items to ppl who couldnt log in is doing no good to the community.

Exactly. It also isn't a justified reward for those affected. One month members and double keys? Really? Does it even stack if you're already someone who buys the double keys thing every month?
It's just really lackluster of a compensation. I do realise they didn't have to do it, any of it in fact, nobody is actually entitled to anything as far as I know, but I'm no lawyer. I just know that if you're going to do something, you don't half-ass it and make a mockery of it, which is exactly what they've done here, to everyone involved, even the praised "lucky few".

Yet its just cosmetics?
How do they affect your gameplay w/o them?
Since they dont, you dont need them.
Or if you can have these, i can have all the holiday items from the events i wasnt around for right?
I couldnt log in for those so with this logic i should get them right?
If they are exclusive they can be worth money, if they are worth money the accounts holding these exclusive cosmetics can be sold. These exclusive cosmetics are jagex unethical way of dealing with their own mistakes and they are also black market material.
