I'm happy to see the old style daily challenges will come back. :D I'm wondering what will happen about the completion tokens from them that were used to give us hero points. I assume we'll be starting from scratch.

Probably because the reason is obvious. For those who needed challenge skips they would have used most of them. For those who didn't need challenge skip tokens like myself, they would have a lot of them and have gotten even more rewards from Hero Pass already.

So, Challenge Skip Tokens were basically a non-issue to overwhelming majority of RS3 players.

Did Dilbert already explain how jagex made no mistakes before and fixed the nonexistent mistakes yet. even tho they admitted they did.

I never explained "jagex made no mistakes before blah blah blah". I actually wrote the RS3 team should be more visible in some future content and anticipated changes following yesterday's news post.

I enjoyed Daily Challenges that changed everyday. I think Yak Track events every now and then was just enough to keep people interested . Hero Pass has a very LIMITED rewards that will NOT change for 90 days! Hero Pass rewards are great boss or PVM players but NOT for players who have no desire to battle all the time . At least with Daily Quest keys there was a variety of rewards for players to choose from and the rewards changed every day . I like the bright colors for the background for the Hero Pass page . Would there be a way to combine Daily Challenge, Yak Track events and Hero Pass ? I LOVE the endless aspects of RuneScape.

Hero Pass rewards actually have good balance between pvming and skilling. The pets are followers, companion pets, not the fighting types. We have a couple of combat abilities overrides, and the others like Tombstone Woodcutting, firemaking and teleportation are obviously not focused on combat. All titles and most of the items from the Hero Satchels are skilling based too. Now that we also have only skilling xp buff and no combat buff.

I’m thinking they could do just 1 line of rewards, give the same to everyone. But allow us to pay for it to be like 10-20% faster through MTX and Premier gets most if not all of that speed up. So that say they put an XP buff at 37, you could get it in say 150 hrs of play if your only members, or if your premier maybe like 130, and through MTX down to say 120 hours.

Just give me back my daily challenges and the ability to choose what skill I want them to be in and I'm happy. Hero Pass - I really don't care about it - aside from encouraging monetisation of the game, which for me is a big no, no.

I don't like the way Jagex has been trying to mold RS into that generic game marketing stuff. I didn't like Yak Track but it t lest felt more unique to the game in style than the hero pass. I don't think this is necessarily unsalvageable but they really need to work on making the interfaces simpler to navigate and less grindy.

The special missions are too P2P centric but if that's because it's for recent content, the issue is more that new content is too P2P centric to give F2P much to do on that side of things. The solution to this would be more F2P accessible content to spotlight in the special missions.

One of the major issues with the special mission section is that the general missions tab is limited to 2 missions with 1 added weekly and the general tab only has the daily and weekly mission. Players have to grind on daily and weekly time limits to get full rewards from the non special missions, which is not only harder on F2P but generally worse than Yak Track letting you get through the whole thing within the entire span of its duration.

Daily challenges had keys, skips and some rewards I don't get much of elsewhere. To reduce dailyscape, you'd just have to let it store a week's worth of challenges while adding 3 per day. That way, players could in theory do all the challenges in one day and as long as they cleared it before the chests refreshed for the week, they wouldn't lose out. Even if they do, as long as they completed 3 challenges that week, they could still get rewards from their remaining challenges before old ones got replaced by the new ones added the following day.

Some basic interface fixes would be to make it take fewer clicks to access and to allow the tabs to stay open/closed as you left it. If looking at missions while progress to one of them is updating, it shouldn't move the screen, which is an issue I had while trying to use it.
