We, the Golden Roses, would like to petition Jagex to keep the forums open. After discussing the forum closure with other clans, we know our clan is not the only clan hurt by this decision. We may be a young clan, but clans of all ages rely on forums.

The forums provide an in game opportunity for clan discussions, recruitment, and sharing news without having to resort to other applications and websites. The forums are a primary source of recruitment for many clans, and clans would slowly die off without the forums.

Clans are vital for the social interaction and longevity of RuneScape. Clans provide new and returning players a group of veterans to help them learn the new systems, clans create PvM and PvP opportunities, players come together to assist one another with tasks, and creates friendships amongst players. This sense of community is a driving force for many players to return, continue playing, or extend their play sessions.

Without clans, boss instances would diminish, new and returning players would feel isolated, and a lot of the social interaction would be offloaded to other platforms. All of this could harm the player count of RuneScape.

Forums are vital for clans and clans are vital for RuneScape. Please reconsider your decision and find a solution that does not harm the clans of RuneScape.
