Very nice! I put on the original while reading this.
The line "I've got gold charms bones, and spirit shards" doesn't seem to fit well in the rythm unfortunately.
Might I suggest "I've got the charm, the bones and the shards" instead? Kings Eastwood in

Thanks Abbot! It's nice to know you put on the original song while reading my RS lyrics to it. I do the same thing when I first start working on a song, to make sure I'm working from the actual words to the original song.

Point taken about the flow of that one line. Good catch! I don't know why I didn't notice it before. The problem isn't the words though. It was the comma. Originally, I intended to use a comma before and after "bones", but somehow the first time I missed the first comma - which is the important one since having the break there keeps the flow of the original line. Then I copied and pasted the mistake three times. Oops! O_o

I could've gone back and just added another comma to that line each time, but I prefer how it works with the one comma in the proper place now. Original flow restored! :) Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I usually put the song on and listen to it a few times on repeat. YouTube has a wealth of music, including instruumentals and live versions. If you're making a parody from a well-known artist (such as Queen), you'll find that the majority of their songs will have an instrumental version. More often than not, it'll be an official version, stripped of all vocals. You can use the instumentals to help make your version flow as well.

I actually seek out only the official videos to listen to a few times, in order to check the lyrics before I change them up. There are a few lyric sites I visit, but they frequently contain errors - enough that sometimes I start with a draft pieced together from two or three different sites! I then make any necessary edits while listening carefully to the words in the video.

Then comes the fun part - the RS rewrites!

You don't happen to have a site that tracks down, captures, and relocates wandering commas, do you? I prefer it when my punctuation behaves itself. :P

Thanks, Aslon. I'm doing okay; I just need a break from the forums. I wanted to focus on my in-game activities. Virtual 120 Smithing has been achieved alongside virtual 120 Strength, while I have also managed to unlock (and maintain) the Master Quest Cape.

Sadly, I don't have a comma tracker. :p

I'll have a read of that later. :)
