"For me, the more minimalistic, the better."

RS3 wasn't minimalistic when EOC came out without Revolution Mode. Of course, they didn't have Tool Belt, and to me the more frustrating experience was with our bank interface.

The good thing is, like all good games that are fit to survive, RS3 was able to make amends and turned their biggest weaknesses into their strength. Now, more and more veteran players realize Revolution Mode is as simple as Legacy Mode and only much more powerful and useful even for skilling.

Bank presets, Diango, and access of POH containers from the bank interface are also game changers for minimalists.

Another good thing about RS3 striving with the other good old online games is they all have balanced economies. I am so glad we can all make impactful contritions to the robust RS3 player driven economy not just killing, but skilling and chilling too.

Six or seven years ago, RS3's economy was plummeting as the only way to be meaningful was pvming, but now we have very diversified paths and different kinds of entertainment for all kinds of skillers, killers and chillers.

This 22 year old RS3 is so successful and continuing to be so successful because it is recognized by the millions of players who actually play the game, and pay for their fun, not any flawed logics of whatever "huge" "online players" pretending to be entire player base.

Of course, all companies need real money from real players to survive for the next 22 years, we see that mind of quality in RS3.

Thank God for the massive OSRS player base that keeps this game going.

Since when did the OSRS with a
-7% revenue
growth keeps RS3 going when RS3 chalked up 20% gain in the same year?

The honest truth is that IDK why I got a subscruption. I got it primarily because I like fishing, and members has the fishing guild. I got mixed feelings about some of the directions they've taken, as they've gotten political for reasons I can't talk about on the forums, but I can overlook some of the flaws to give it a try again.

I just wish I had access to my old account. I'm reminded how much of a grind some of the stuff is.

Flexibility, variety and diversity are some of the things we find in RS3 but not many old and failing MMORPG. RS3 wins their players over with quality and variety of content. RS3 is like the Sun in Aseop's Fable which communes with new players with warmth, sincerity and affection so they choose naturally, while the other old failing MMORPGs are just one trick blow your cloth off North Wind that doesn't have anything to attract players so they hopelessly and shamelessly resort to trying to stop everybody.

RS3 is also the easiest one to get membership we gain from playing the game than the other games with the similar Bond/Token/PLEX freemium model.

Even older updates like Arcaheology are so appealing to returning players that they find them fun to play, although we have Necromancy on the horizon.

"The best game with the best skills. Love this."

This is one extremely spot on comment why we still play RS3 after 22 years.

There are better games than RS3, some almost as old as RS3, but if you want a better game with skilling is intuitional and meaningful to the entire game, RS3 is The One Game.
