There's a lot of mayhem about this term and I find it pretty exaggerating.

Of course, what other players are talking about is macroing (software/hardware) which is prohibited and is punished with a ban.

Or am I missing something?

It's best not to risk any third party stuff, I don't, but people still will.

I think proteans have added to the problem. It can be argued that if the software/hardware does not break the 1 input / 1 action rule then it's not botting. But the software/hardware could be capable of more than the person uses it for on RS if such further actions are allowed on other games. So does Jagex ban because of the very existence of a 3rd party, or just what it's used for?

I don't think you're missing something.
I see it as a low-input training (with usually lesser rewards compared to training with full attention).
Maybe the other players interpret this that macroing is allowed or something? "Away from keyboard" strictly sounds like not being at your computer at all, while people usually are and just do other stuff (like scroll memes, watch youtube, write forum posts...). Kings Eastwood in

Yes afk is something you can walk away from computer and still train. Fishing sharks is a good example of this cause it takes about 10 minutes to catch 1 damn shark. So when you need too pee you fish sharks.

Now if you have a PROGRAM that clicks for you thats an auto clicker and your ass is grass jagex detects that with minimal effort. I personally have a red dragon mouse and keyboard and i can program my mouse to do clicks if i want but im sure it can be detected and get me banned so i dont use that feature. I think my keyboard can do stuff like that too but i dont try it.

Making cannonballs is pretty afk.

You've got 4.2 minutes between clicks to make sandwiches while the game smelts 60 bars into 240 cannonballs.

I afk quite alot, if you was to break the 1 input 1 output rule then its breaking the rules but if you was to do an action that repeats itself without any need of additional input aka mining or dreams of iaiai then its asking as your on a lower xp rate and will eventually log out if you don't return and add another input within 5 minutes

I afk quite alot and can make an endless list of jobs I do in and around the house or watching TV or YouTube while just popping back every few minutes

Or constructing the buildings in Fort forinthry, using signs of the porters means you can woodcut golden bamboo well beyond the timer, there's also fishing sharks, thieving, slayer if using an aggression flask or killing in wilderness, the golden harps in priff there's quite a few things that one can do which will take well over the log out timers allowance

How can anyone prove someone is AFK?

I do it and I know millions of others do too.

Remember the CoC is as old as the roads leading to Rome.

I have yet to hear of a single person being Warned or Banned for being AFK. I've been here over 20 years too.

If anyone is worried take the keyboard with you.
