@Aslon Dak

My posts are, as what posts to the RSOF should be, are for those who are interested in the discussion. Again, as I mentioned already, if my comments replying to OP and other users don't pertain to you or you are not interested, you don't have to interrupt with our constructive discussions for the benefits of who are interested so they can get the best experience out of the Christmas present all these wonderful RS3 Christmas Events.

My comments are complete to those who are interested in the constructive discussions. If it is
"incomplete" to those who I am not replied to, sorry, they can't be "complete" to everyone who is not looking for constructive discussions. Thank you for you comment, bye, and I wish you a merry RS3 Christmas and a Happy New Year that all of us are interested RS3 players are having now.

taking off on a slight tangent on this thread - I have gotten "Santa's Christmas Presents" on my members main a couple of times, can you get those on F2P as well? I'm guessing you won't be able to redeem them but I'm wondering if they drop at all. Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

I believe Jmods mentioned it on the livestream. Even the 2022 and 2023 "Purple Christmas Presents" share the same name, they contain very different items. Purple Christmas Presents of 2022 and prior years contain items from previous years, but the 2023 Purple Christmas Presents contain brand new items like all the Overhead Partyhat emotes. IIRC, Jmods said they don't want them to be too common.

They still drop for F2P but need membership to open.

Wow, what a total lack of self-awareness.

Nobody derails threads with pointless off-topic comments more than YOU, dude. Also, in case you do not realize it, this is a public forum, not your personal chatroom.

Aslon Dak addressed the topic of this thread. You sidestepped it to answer questions nobody asked.

The fact remains that these purple presents provided some good rewards for free players during previous years. This year...nothing.

These presents are common enough to be a nuisance when all F2P can do is drop them, assuming they are not immediately going to be buying a membership. I certainly will not be doing so.
I've been putting out fire with gasoline! ^_^

I have only opened a small number of white and blue presents so far, and already I have found an Overhead Green Partyhat. It was inside a white present - the most common type of present. So they cannot be all that rare.

Maybe the J-Mod was talking about the cosmetic combat ability scrolls. That would make sense. However, those could be made to drop only on members' worlds, without making purple presents entirely useless to free players.

Oh look. Today's Advent gift is...a purple present.

If you try to claim it as a free player, you are told you have to be on a members' server.

Thanks for nothing, Jagex.
Agreed, if Jagex/JMods don't wanna share gifts with F2P than don't be an ass and still give P2P-items to F2P-players.

It only means 1 member claimed an Overhead Green Partyhat emote. No F2P alts could claim it. The new prizes are far more uncommon than the old ones that can be claimed by millions of F2P alts.

I exchanged 3,400 Christmas Paper for 10 white presents, 6 blue presents, and a worthless purple present this afternoon.

I received three Overhead Emotes - Green, Purple, and Yellow Partyhat.

I wouldn't consider these items to be rare. If that was truly Jagex's intention, to make these Overhead Emotes rare, they have obviously failed.

It is also clear using this excuse as a reason to prevent free players from opening purple presents is complete bullshit.

They said they want the new items to be more uncommon, not exceedingly rare.

Did you get Black, White and Blue Partyhat emotes as F2P? If you didn't then don't tell us they aren't uncommon.

Don't forget the new tradeable pet and fishing tokens from Purple this year. If F2P could get them, they wouldn't worth a thing.

It serves their purpose already when someone who came to the RSOF as a free players and claimed they opened
