that a misleading title and a half (or a troll post). thought you got a hands on with necromancy, witch is the "new skill". arch is old news, lol

Haha yes. When I used to lurk the forums, I always fell for bait titles. Sometimes multiple times, it was so annoying!

Guess who opened the Prison Door? Me ;)

Oh no, now all the prisoners will escape!

You also had me with the title. 'What? He already tried necromancy? But, how ? Ooh.... that "new" skill.'
*tips hat*

I'll also wait a bit before doing Necro, just like I did with Arch, so Jagex can iron out some kinks and fix bugs they might have overlooked (which they will).

We know the prisoner can't escape, because his soul is trapped inside a container. Guess what? When we get to the soul part, we will probably be doing Necromancy and perhaps with rituals and the Well of Souls in the City of Um.

Archaeology and Necromancy are inter-connected. ;)

@Kings Abbot

In that case, I will consider your comment I am replying to a joke too.

To the rest of the RSOF who aren't joking, OP included:

When you keep doing Archaeology, you should get to the upcoming Daemonheim Archaeology, following the release of Necromancy soon. Just keep digging and have fun now, and double the fun in half a month.

They are strongly hinted on Necromancy may be the Archaeology of the 1st Age Gielinor while Archaeoloy is about the lore of 2nd and 3rd Ages Gielinor...

This gets me really excited. I'd love to see an Archaeological dig site (or mini-dig site) for the city of Um that centers around Necromancy-themed artifacts.

We are going to have Daemonheim Archaeology, and perhaps digsite(s) there. I am not sure digsite fits the theme of City of Um though. We commune the first age undead there, we are going to be Meeting History again with 1st Age friends and foes. When we can meet and ask the 1st Age people directly, we don't need digsites and mattocks.

Confirmed Archaeology, Daemonheim Dungeoneering and Necromancy are all related from today's Necromancy Insights blog.

We are going to need 86 Archaeology and 77 Dungeoneering (for Necrolord perhaps) for Necromancy.

This should be good news for OP as his journey into Archaeology will eventually prepare and guide him toward Necromancy! :)

3 years ago, I did not have time off to play Archaeology. So I decided to wait until the next new skill was announced, and then play Archaeology a month before. I am really excited to try out Archaeology this July.

Do Ironmen and mains still have a healthy rivalry? Last time I played, we would debate who were the bigger losers in our closed chats. As a main, I can say Irons have made RS a better place.

Anyway. What was I saying. Oh. Ok, its Archaeology time!

Question: Who gets 99 Necromancy faster, Rank 4 Ironman, or Rank 400 Main? Guessing is welcome. My guess is Rank 4 Ironman.

Hard to say as with Archaeology both had equal chance, but with this skill mains can buy the runes/ summoning items and the first T95 sets for faster xp but irons will have to make their own with slower rituals and bossing. There are more than 400 active mains with max xp who will be pushing hard to climb up the table.

Top 5 spots will always go to the account sharing streamers as Jagex will not punish them and lose the free advertising. Top 1k you will see the mains easing off as most don't remember how to play without dxp/lamps and stars, and you will start to see more irons.

Nice! I remember opening that door.

I approached the doorway. As I was about to enter, I was suddenly and viciously attacked
by a members advert!

Naturally, I escaped. :P

I really enjoyed Archaeology. Hopefully, Necromancy will be fun as well.
