They are strongly hinted on Necromancy may be the Archaeology of the 1st Age Gielinor while Archaeoloy is about the lore of 2nd and 3rd Ages Gielinor...

This gets me really excited. I'd love to see an Archaeological dig site (or mini-dig site) for the city of Um that centers around Necromancy-themed artifacts.

We are going to have Daemonheim Archaeology, and perhaps digsite(s) there. I am not sure digsite fits the theme of City of Um though. We commune the first age undead there, we are going to be Meeting History again with 1st Age friends and foes. When we can meet and ask the 1st Age people directly, we don't need digsites and mattocks.

Maybe the digsites are to help them remember? After all, they HAVE forgotten the original name of the city... Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

Fully agreed. Archaeology was such an extremely enjoyable skill and I really miss the moment when I was training it back when it was released. :D
I really doubt Necromancy will even come close to being as enjoyable for me as Archaeology was to train. :/
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

We have some devices we use to collect memories of varies NPC in RS3. No sweat, we can collect and restore memories for them.

The rank 400 main would get 99 necromancy faster. It's a really nice looking cape.

I found archaeology very slow at first ..after I got the box and that amulet to bank it was fairly afk.

Sure, main gets to 99 and 120 Necromancy faster, and not only that, main also helps to push Archaeology faster while training Necromancy because lamps, stars among other xp buffs can't be used on Necromancy for months, meaning the non-IM main will be very beneficial to use them on Archaeology.
