It is far better than keep telling everybody something like "near 300 mil registered players" sort of meaningless gimmick.
That x millions registered players was a lame move from Jagex anyway. Jagex really believed they were doing something smart by showing us how many bots and accounts that were never played on were created.

They did the very smart move by getting Runescape 3 Guinness World Records in 2017. The
"lame" move was there only because there didn't have any better move to make until now in 2021.

Losers settle with what they got.
Jagex isn't loser although some of their games are losers. They are doing real well or else they won't win 3 Guinness World Records, getting record high members last few years, as well as telling the public media they are making Runescape Everwhere in the next 2 years.
Me, the CEO, on this thread, will certainly be going out and speaking more about Runescape Everywhere.
I'll tell the world RS4 has arrived. RS4 is simply Runescape Everywhere.

I wasn't talking about Jagex, and Guiness World Records contain all sorts of records. Being in their book doesn't mean you're successful. There are records such as the biggest Yo Yo in the world, which is nothing more than a useless thing created by someone who wasn't able to be more productive with their time.
You can tell the entire world about any version of RS, the important thing is to sell a good product, not to over advertise it.
Not only will I go out and do more introduction of Jagex and Runescape Everywhere to the gaming industry and media, I will also make sure the world knows Jagex can also do what the other video games developers like Capcom, Ubisoft and Riot can do - entertainments like movies, books, TV series or Just Dance.

Being a CEO doesn't mean that you need to single handed determine what the future has to be according to your personal view. I would first and far most consult all the Teams about their progress and how far they have reached their future goals and see what is missing.
Work from there and see if we can move to newer future goals and work on reestablishing more and better contacts with The RuneScape Community here in The RuneScape Official Forums, being the place to be, a leading platform for all future communications that involve RuneScape 3/ OldSchoolRuneScape and any future games.
That is quite cool. Charlie, you win the factory! I'm noticing a lot of people would like some additions to the official Forums.
Well first things first, some important fundamental work to be done. And of course, Security updates/upgrades have to be fully completed before we can build any further.
There will be extended downtime for
roughly six hours on June 9th, running from 7am Game Time
.

Security updates are indeed absolutely needed integrity updates all the time ever since 2001. That's why as the CEO of Jagex I don't even bother to explicitly mention any sort of integrity updates are absolutely needed and not getting them done for whatever reason is simply not acceptable.
I do want to take my time to congratulate all my capable teams in bringing down all kinds of login logout issues since March. Evidently, we are getting less too many attempts logout issues the past 2 months.
