I'd fire the entire microtransactions team. Then have the content team focus on lore related stuff. Then give Mod Raven a raise.
So they will have to fire everybody who bought Bond and Partnership MTX to OSRS defying the epically failed Partnership Poll too. Unfortunately they can't because being able to monetize the games is a vital requirement of CEOs of game developers.
If I was the CEO of Jagex, I'll fire all the Jmods, CMs, Pmods, Fmods and whatnots if they don't agree to keep every unit of the company under the same
I would absolutely defend Jagex against all false accusations and disinformation, and make sure nobody related to Jagex is harboring such unethical attempts. If I have to go to Carlyle Group, the security exchanges and other proper legal and lawful channels, I definitely won't hestitate.
Interesting concept! There are a lot of well thought-out and methodical posts.
I think being CEO is more about people management than actual business management. Don't get me wrong, you have to involved in the business and you're the one making the key decisions, however, the team you surround yourself with is just as important. Putting together a "dream team" of executives that can brain storm and properly execute ideas is paramount, and would be my first step.

Brilliant CEOs are as a whole, not 'too' invested in their product*. They manage stakeholders and senior managers, it's down to them to manage the product. So I'd be finding a good SMT who have a passion for the game
*I say in the sense that they don't actually have much to do with it, I'm sure they're passionate but their job isn't to make, design, market stuff...that's what you employ people for.

I would prioritise revitalising the RuneScape website to make it a hub for all players, to include specifically:
- revamping the forums into the 21st century
- mandating that Staff post more dev blogs etc.
- mandating increased staff interaction on the game's own website generally
- making the Support section more prominent and more user friendly
- incorporating a Reddit feed, so users can access the site via runescape.com too
- incorporating an Instagram feed
- incorporating a Twitter feed to log and archive all Jagex Staff tweets
All of this, and also mandate that all game announcements must be made on the site first and foremost, and then echoed on other platforms. Players shouldn't need to leave the website to get their game news.
Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?
