(adding notes ill also fix the G.E as its kind of broken and start making better promotions to get the game more players as rs needs them I may even make a new combat skill that brings in new weapon's or even revamp the mini games wow I want to become a CEO now :D

(what I am trying to say is there's so much more this game can grow if it's done right)

(i think the mods need to take notes from this)

I'd create a small team who's only job is to support the forums, including devs who can overhaul (ie new, modern forums) and maintain them, then a couple more who read, reply, participate, and support people posting here.

On the game side of things I'd dedicate a month to nothing but bug fixes, reading bug reports and fixing things that have been broken for years.
I know people would grumble about the lack of updates but it would be temporary until all (or at least most) of the bugs have been fixed.

As the CEO of Jagex, I can't say I am not happy with our financial success in 2020, thanks to 18% jump in revenue from RS3 and to some extent 6% from OSRS too. However, I also can't say I don't have concerns in our growth of membership as evidently our exponential growth of membership count has been moderating to single digit in 2020 and quite possibly even less in 2021. Even on the total new player attraction front, our total registered player counter has been stuck below 300 mil and growing only at quite a modest pace the past 2 years.

For that, I definitely have a lot of work to do to find more ways to entice more new players from places we haven't boldly gone before. I can't be a sitting duck and put all the eggs in a single leaking basket.

I will definitely consider what Riot Games just outlined in their plan for the next 5 years:

Put employees in the first place. Ask their parent company (in Jagex's case Carlyle Group) to cough up a small percentage of their shares and use it as incentive to reward employees.

Create groundbreaking gameplay, game events, and features to redefine fandom across esports, TV, movies, music, live experiences, merch, and more. In 5 years, Jagex becomes a mainstream entertainment and not just a game developer.

Build Games Globally, whether it is through acquisition, partnering with global developers or open new global offices.

What plan Riot just announced is exactly what I think they would months ago and why they will become the next Blizzard and replace it as Tencent's focus investment in the video games and entertainment industry.

Why Jagex need to make similar big moves? Because like Riot and other similar subsidiaries of the likes of Tencent, Carlyle Group, Embracer etc, if they do it there will be other surging subsidiaries doing it and replacing Jagex.

Blockbuster corporate actions within the video game industry like Microsoft buying Activision Blizzard, Sony buying Bungie and Take Two Interactive buying Zynga the past 2 weeks or so should make me really feel the urgency of improving the financial position of Jagex now, or else it may not fare well in the not too distant future.

I will most definitely ask my CFO Rashid to come up with a report of the aftermath of the consolidation and collaboration of the marketplace.

Two things to running any business. Not that i ever have. Focusing on future growth through past success And making the past success better. Re-do how some of the quests work .As a newer player those are the only turn off for me on this game. Half the time i have wiki instructions and still get frustrated. Im 39 and have been beating games since Mario was released. And to gauge my stress endurance ill just say Dark Souls.
As for the future growth, you have to respect the founders wishes. They built a success. a 20 yr game. which isnt a small feat. the max skill 5-20 year vets should have a say that the CEO reads. Suggestion box from the people who spent thousands of hours of time playing this game for no other reason then they wanted to. Then the new stuff. Games ,Content, Etc is a bit harder. Have to figure out why people play for a few hours and quit. Then try and fix it to keep them. Or attract the ones who have never played. Cant sum that up in a forum post. Thought this would be shorter anyway.lol

I'd increase membership prices to advantage of the "efficiency" mindset. Having a grandfathered rate will be a status symbol and the smart move. Only a fool dare unsub.

I'd take the negative abuse for a week. Then I'd announce a big update.
