I will definitely consider what Riot Games just outlined in their plan for the next 5 years:
Put employees in the first place. Ask their parent company (in Jagex's case Carlyle Group) to cough up a small percentage of their shares and use it as incentive to reward employees.
Create groundbreaking gameplay, game events, and features to redefine fandom across esports, TV, movies, music, live experiences, merch, and more. In 5 years, Jagex becomes a mainstream entertainment and not just a game developer.
Build Games Globally, whether it is through acquisition, partnering with global developers or open new global offices.
What plan Riot just announced is exactly what I think they would months ago and why they will become the next Blizzard and replace it as Tencent's focus investment in the video games and entertainment industry.
Why Jagex need to make similar big moves? Because like Riot and other similar subsidiaries of the likes of Tencent, Carlyle Group, Embracer etc, if they do it there will be other surging subsidiaries doing it and replacing Jagex.
