As the CEO of Jagex, I have to say I am really impressed with the recent development of many of our major games in our growing Jagex family.
Rest assured, we spoke softly and carried a big stick with RS3's Necromancy launch today, resulting in concurrent players only seen in the COVID-19 pandemic aided 2020-2021. I want to express my appreciation to everybody who is involved in remastering the old RS3
Gielinor, preparing it for the present day Necromancy launch, while giving us big time potentials leading into the future of game changing content like summoner and tanking classes as well as valuable franchise storytelling IP.
Borrowing the similar RS3 recipe for success of remastering old content into new bunkers and adding in fresh new game play mechanics like hacking, I am also very happy to see SCUM, another of our major Jagex investments has evolved and hit concurrent player levels of 33k following the release of patch 0.90 yesterday, a number we have not seen ever since the release of the game in 2018.
We are also remastering the Earthlock series, our precious joint venture with Snowcastle. A couple of weeks ago, we have announced the classic game series' march into console. Let's not forget Melvor Idle. Following the leadership of RS3, this game is also getting the new Archaeology skill in next month's expansion.
As the encouraging news of all these projects clearly illustrated, we don't need another pandemic to continue to grow such high quality games to meet the demands of present and future generations of consumers.
I will continue to leverage the recipe for success in the remastered RS3 as the juggernault for the prosperity of some of our other more promising games for the future. We win and will continue to win more, in the real marketplace with quality. and better quality.
