another scam may be the "leeching" scam. I see these all the time on dungeuneering worlds, find autotypers selling floors, but chances are that they'll ask for the money first which is about 100k-200k, and they can log off. No i am not a victim of this, but i do not want others to be/
-- You are asked to be a luring partner and you help lure somebody into the wilderness. You are putting yourself at risk by being in the Wildy. The player you lured with your fellow "Lurer" was a friend of your fellow "Lurer". They both kill you.
In-Depth: You are putting yourself at two risks.
1) is being reported. Luring is possibly reportable depending on what you are doing.
2) is being killed. You can definitely die in the Wilderness and lose all your items (except three sometimes).
This one cost me my red, except this time it was in the Clan Wars portal.
Was set up as an "anti-lure" but from hindsight it was way too easy... Lesson learnt.
My only wish is that I'd read this guide first, in the hope that I would have spotted the lurers so easily!

Only ever buy floors from players ranked with a star in leech fcs, such as 'We Dung 4u', 'Leech Day' or 'The Keyers' - if these people scam you they'll get a bad reputation which may lead to them getting deranked

I can remember when I got scammed twice within a week, I was trying to buy yew logs and they gave me maple logs instead and because nobody had traded me in ages I rushes it and pressed the accept button without paying attention and the other time was when someone said they were going to double my money. Now I never get scammed, I am very cautious.
Never trade items when selling your bank for cash. I was selling my bank so I could raise cash for 92 prayers (soul split), and I sold this one guy 50M worth of items for his tectonic mask. I later on discovered it wasn't going to sell for the grand exchange's price, and that it was going to sell for 10-15M instead, as everybody I went to said they were buying it for 10-15M.
NEVER sell items for other items... Even if you BELIEVE you'll get a nice return from it. Trust grand exchange before players folks.
The guy who traded me this item had a blue phat and showed me his santa, and he also had wings on and had a very, very low total level, which I unfortunately did not consider at the time of wanting to trade him. I literally assumed he was okay based off of his wealth without putting much thought into wanting to trade him, and that's how he was able to successfully scam me... And did I mention he traded me again with a FREE 86K item? Yes, I got troll-scammed -_-.
But remember to not trade items for items. I figured I'd buy his tectonic mask and be able to instantly sell it on GE without having to put other items up (just 1 sale and I had enough to buy bones that quick), but that didn't happen.
And I'm not frustrated I got scammed. This was actually the first time I really tried items for money. I never really sold anything from my inventory before since GE was introduced to runescape, so it was a learning experience. I can make it back. But I'm just sharing some wisdom for those who may run into this in the future.
Hope this long tip/story was useful. Do what you want with this though. You welcome.
