A Shaky Alliance

Kaz Uthor led himself near the walls of Falador. The city's outermost guards acknowledged his presence, as he slowly paced himself towards the ominous tower shadowing over the city. The dark wizards gazed him down, but opened their building to him.

As Kaz climbed to the top floor, Zandar Horfyre stood waiting for him. He was not keen to the idea of combining their forces, especially with the prospect of New Misthilan. Zandar openly agreed that his alliance would be determined by a duel. Kaz lifted his blade, Zandar his staff. Kaz rushed at the wizard, but his blade was casted out of his hand, falling behind him.

Kaz held his mystical shield in front of him, and began deflecting the blasts as they came through, getting close enough to Zandar and sweeping his leg under his enemy to cause him to trip. Kaz then crushed some air runes in his free hand and casted away at his opponent as the unstable runic energy pulsed from his fist. Zandar blasted him off, and Kaz fell back, landing on his feet. Zandar did not stand.

The terms of the duel had been met, as Zandar had been bested and knocked over. "Not bad, for a swordsman," spoke Zandar. The two headed to discuss the terms of their alliance, as one of Kaz Uthor's footsoldiers planted a banner of New Misthilan in front of the tower.
