Crystalized

For once, Rnoy was sleeping. It'd been weeks since he'd touch his head to his pillow, but tonight, Sedridor convinced him to do so. April was back up and about, taking care of the remaining half of Zidrisa, the green mage that Sedridor had found in the first tower, whilst the old wizard kept a watchful eye over things.

He'd not been all too happy to hear that Rnoy had asked for the help of Ariane, but could do little about it; with all that was happening, they needed all the help they could get.

Continuing to rest peacefully, the Seren Symbol around his neck that was once his mothers would begin to glow faintly. His face twitched and his body stirred as a voice echoed through his dreams. It was that of a womans.

He had had dreams like this before, brief moments of meeting with his mother. Those dreams would always fill him with happiness and hope... this; however, was not that. The voice was not hers, and the emotion was that of dread.

The amulet shone brighter, and in from the darkness of his dream, came a pale light. As the light grew brighter, it would contort to that of a figure, the voice radiating from it.

"Rnoy... Son of Orion, the Earth Keeper... Your home is in peril... Your people need you... You must fulfill the destiny to which your father could not..."

The light would fade, just as it would from the symbol around his neck. Waking with a jolt, he would pant heavily, looking around before looking down at the symbol. "No.. Nope nope nope."

Several moments passed, his mind sifting through what had just happened. Groaning in anger, he would swing his thighs over the side of the bed, reaching forth for his prosthetic arm, latching it on, then his legs. Standing slowly, he went to his desk, grasping something in his hand and closing his eyes, muttering. "Old friend... I need you.."

Hold One's Ground

"ARCHERS! FIRE!"

"BALLISTA READY! FIRE!"

"BOMBARD LOADED! FIRE!"

"STAND YOUR GROUND! UNDEAD BY THE EAST INCOMING!"

"PHALANX FORMATION! DON'T LET THEM ENTER!"

In just a night, the combined forces of the Royal Military and the Aegis of Saradomin managed to repel incoming undead forces from the east. Though their adversaries swarmed to them like speeding ants, the tactical mindsets of their leaders managed to prevent their advances.

For instance, during the battle, Brother Rowan personally led his cohort of twelve soldiers, combined Templars, Shield-Bearers, and Crusaders, in augmenting the main defence line engaging them at close range. He would support his cadre by using supportive magic on them while firing lances of sacred flame on the undead. Sarah, his considered sibling-in-arms, went on shielding him from the melee attacks with her gigantic armour while using her greatsword to cleave through the enemy formation.

Sir Fortacus' battalion of thirty paladins came into action as well, holding their ground likewise against the swarming adversaries. Using the skill of the shield and sword, he swiftly took down every single undead that manage to break through their lines while his forces helped out in the dirty work. They even adopted using defensive techniques similar to the phalanx and the testudo to defend themselves.

Tiki, from behind the frontlines, led a group of Magic Guild battlemages in firing a rain of sacred fire bolts on the enemies, effectively wiping out a number of the enemy forces. Aleksandir, being a skilled archer, went on firing flaming arrows against the incoming horde with likewise the same effect.

The sun came out, and the last from the horde were wiped out. It was a victory for the Royal Crown... for now. But how long will they stand?

End

In the Tower of Voices, the Elder Council were gathered for an extraordinary meeting to discuss the enormous threat forcing its way into the capital. The Council, however, was small, as most of its members were out in the field supporting the elves and others who were fighting to defend the incoming threat. “ Wushanko is the least of our worries right now ” said Enerdhil Elder Wenu, the leader of the Elder Council. “ We need to save this city and its inhabitants. How are our defenses looking High-Archon Wicked? ” He said as he turned to the lone Demon in the room. “ The outer layer of the city has been abandoned. Bridges in the Cadarn and Trahaearn districts has been destroyed to slow down this evil. Noxious Prey is leading a large force to the east, where the attacks are dense. Their adaptive abilities are too strong for our crystal weapons.
Silence filled the room, until Oozy Beaker spoke up. “ Grand Quartermaster Alphachan reports of diminishing crystal weapon seeds, almost everyone who can wield a weapon in Prifddinas is wearing one. When will support arrive? ” A loud sound could be heard outside the tower. Looking out, the Elder Council could spot three Anagamies spirit dragons arriving from the East.
Ok good luck

Gendre, a master cadarn mage, entered the Tower of Voices, bowed to each member of the council, and then returned his gaze to Elder Wenu. “Let us skip the normal formalities in these dark times and jump right to the point" Wenu said addressing the room as a whole."It is imperative that we summon the Guardian, Xul, from Daemonheim, and with great haste. We call on you, Gendre, to find us a volunteer; This will, for the forseen future, be a one way-trip." Gendre cleared his throat before replying, "I infact already have someone in mind for this task. A human by the name of Magnus Drake. Magnus has extreme magic capabilities, but he is young and inexperienced. He has indeed surpassed nearly everything we have to teach him here and has been requesting the chance to apprentice for the Guardian. It looks like perhaps he may get this chance after all. I will, with the councils blessing, send him." “If you say he his the man to send then we will trust your word Gendre. Take this ring as a token of the council for Magnus, no one will question him so long as he has this. Good luck and we are dismissed.”

Rushing from the tower Gendre hurridly found Magnus Drake, explained the mission and opportunity to him, gave him the councils ring. "This ring has a one way teleportation spell bound to it and once you place it on your finger you will be teleported to Daemonheim" Gendre explained to Magnus. Magnus grabbed the elf by the shoulders, gave him a hug, and then slipped the ring onto his finger, eager for his new life and this new oppurtunity.

Instantly the screams of pain, smell of death and crystal landscape around him disappeared…

In what seemed the blink of an eye he found himself in bitter cold. The ground was cold rock, and a freezing wind swept across is body. Magnus looked up to see a giant wall. “So, this is the famous castle of Daemonheim.” he thought to himself. “Hey there!” yelled three Fremennik Guards as they approached him. “People rarely come to Daemonheim through magic anymore, who are you?” Magnus, collecting himself, looked at the guards and with all the confidence he could muster replied, “ Where is Xul? I must see him, there is no time to explain.” Magnus showed the guards the ring bearing the seal of the Elder Council, and he was led towards the city. Xul was easy to spot. The Guardian of the Kingdom wore characteristic robes, and the staff in his hand was unavoidable. Magnus Drake looked at him in awe, and approached him. “Guardian, Prifddinas is falling. Your help is needed,” he said as he handed Xul the letter Gendre had given him stamped with the councils seal. Xul, reaching out, took the letter, broke the seal and read it. “Thank you for coming Magnus. I must be off at once however your capabilities will be needed in time." Xul then placed his hand on Magnus's shoulder, and muttered a few words under his breath. "I have just given you access to the castle, I ask that you treat it with caution and respect until I return and can explain it to you. Please show yourself into the castle. You will find a room ready for you to stay in. I ask that you remain here until we can speak again. ” Xul waited for a sign indicating Magnus understood before he put on his hood and teleported away.

Hope

It had been long since Xul had left Daemonheim. Despite its climate, he loved it there. And now, he had to travel to Prifddinas. A change of scenery would not be bad?

That thought quickly disappeared as he arrived in the capital. Stank, screams and decay filled the city. Xul was used to smell of fresh elven bread and herbs being cleaned, the times he had been in the city, but this reminded him nothing of what he was used to.
Ah, Xul, what a pleasant sight ” Wenu said as he greeted Xul. After a quick explanation of the situation, Xul was left with more questions than answers.
Why would Wushanko Empire treat the elven capital like this. Why were the Anagamies fighting for the elves , thought Xul. It did not seem logical, but it mattered little in this moment. The hordes of zombies were pushing towards the inner circles of the city, and had adapted to many of the attacks that were thrown at them. Xul had himself seen a similar horde, within his castle dungeons, but they had never been this strong. Thankfully, he had been able to practice, and knew their weaknesses, if they were not able to adapt.

Sacrifices

A large crowd of citizens, leaders and warriors were gathered under the tower of Voices, Xul, with the Elder Council stood before them. Xul spoke, “ I will summon the power of the Korangar. If they are adapting, the we will fight them the same way. The power requires great sacrifices and fuel, however. ” Xul looked out at the crowd. “ A young pure elf, and one of those. ” He pointed his staff towards one of the Anagamies, fighting at the eastern boarder of the city. “ Then we will die for sure! ” yelled Dumbledore, a respectable citizen of the Kingdom. “ If you don’t trust me, you will all die anyway. ” Xul continued.
Ok good luck

After much effort, the dragon was subdued and brought to Xul, who had occupied a large room in the Tower of Voices. He did not wish for the people to see this. In addition to the dragon, a beautiful female elf stood before him. She had lost so much, so she feared little, but standing there now, tears were rolling down her cheeks.
Fear not .”
Xul said, as he stared into her emerald green eyes. Xul lifted his arms up on the dragon’s head and the elf’s head. In an instance, their eyes turned purple, and a fog twisted itself around the two creatures. Not long after, both the dragon and the elf collapsed on the floor. Xul thought of the Pharaoh, and remembered that he said the Anagamies life rarely ended, they returned to the spirit rift. The life of the elf, however, was over.

Unleashed

The crowd waited in anticipation. A wind was blowing over the capital, and High-Archon Wicked had ordered everyone to return to the inner circle of the city. The wind grew stronger, and citizens started to look at each other. Xul put his arm and staff into the air, and yelled words none had heard before. The already dark sky turned even darker, snow came with the wind. Xul slammed the bottom of his staff into the ground, and a purple fog appeared, remaining in place despite the wind. But the wind died out, light appeared from the sky, and the purple fog disappeared.
Xul looked exhausted. The crowd was silent.
All the zombies are frozen! ” An Amlodd elf came running into the crowd. “They are frozen! ”. Elves and creatures looked confused and happy, turning their heads at each other. “Gather up your strength ” Xul looked at the Elder Council “ We have much work left, and little time.
Ok good luck

As the carpet made it's way across the sky Mimring would feel something moving in his backpack and pull a small golden scarab glowing, the scarab pulling toward the Wizard's Tower.

"Rnoy, the mighty archmage of Varrock needs the help of the old necromancer, times are really becoming strange... So be it" Mimring talked to himself as the carpet turned and headed south.
Taking the time to look at the scenery, one he haven't seen in a long time, looking at Draynor and the manor before the carpet reached the bridge.

Landing at the end of the bridge and grabbing the carpet Mimring headed toward the doors.
"Mimring Ikol, Khan of Goshima request Archmage Rnoy, be quick about it, time is of the essence"
As Mimring tapped his foot on the floor he saw one of the younger mages heading toward the upper levels of the tower.
Khan of Goshima, master of the order of the damned.
Subject of the Wushanko empire.

Reunion

Rnoy would turn from discussing something with Sedridor and April, seeing Phillip, another one of his pupils, approaching them. "Yes, what is it?" " He's here." The group looked amongst one another. "Are you okay with this, Sedridor?" The old mage sighed and would nod reluctantly, "We do need his help... He might be the only one that can solve where all of this madness is coming from." Rnoy would incline his head to the boy, "Bring him up."

As he was led inside the tower Mimring would look at the wizards and glance at the general aspect of the tower before ascending to the higher levels until he reached the Archmages, "It has been quite a long time, Rnoy, or am I supposed to call you Archmage now?" Smirking, Rnoy would nod and offer Mimring his hand. "You know I don't care for pleasantries. 'Tis good to see you... even in these unfortunate circumstances."

Shaking the offered hand Mimring would nod toward Sedridor, "Unfortunate indeed, but a good occasion for study, even if I know you're not quite into this type of magic." The old mage would grunt, unable to hide his discomfort with the necromancer's presence. "Yes well... If we don't do something soon.. we'll all pay the price." Rnoy nodded in agreement, looking between the two, "Yes... But there is hope..." He turned directly to Mimring, "We have a survivor."

"What do you mean a survivor? A surviving undead?" Smirking at Sedridor's behaviour, Mimring would raise a questioning eyebrow. "Yes, quite so... The others are..." "Dead dead." Sedridor grinned at his dark humor, "But don't tell her that.. she doesn't like it." Rnoy would shake his head and turn to April, who stood obedient and quiet in the corner, simply observing and examining the necromancer with curious eyes.

"April, Zidrina is still in your room, yes?" The young woman jumped nearly a foot as her name was called, her face flushing red with embarrassment. "Yes, yes, she's still in there.." Her eyes would drop to the floor as she muttered. "Not like she can go anywhere." Sedridor chuckled, "She doesn't have any legs."

"And you haven't thought about, I don't know, giving her new legs? I know you don't like undeads but if this one is sentient that would be acceptable. Anyway, can you show me to this Zidrina?"

"Well it's not like we have... anyone of your potential here.. until now that is..." Sedridor's voice muttered through gritted teeth. "Uh yes... please follow me, Sir." April would bow and pivot on her heels, walking almost robotically to the center of the tower before decending down a floor to where her room was. Rnoy and Sedridor would follow suit. Following the trio Mimring would take the occasion to glance around the tower, to see if any other wizards were watching suspiciously, until he reached the room.

Due to recent events, the necromancer's presence seemed not at all unusual to the residence of the tower, on occassion one or two would give him a passing glance, faces stoic, before returning to their studies or duties. Inside the room, April would be speaking with an undead in tattered green robes which rested upon her bed. It was evident, even under the blankets and sheets, that she was indeed, missing legs. "So the man of the hour is here? About time. Been getting tired of waiting around..." Zidrisa would cackle to herself, "Not like I got anything better to do though..." Seemed Sedridor's sick humor had gotten to her.

Mimring would take a long look at Zidrisa before pulling several scrolls and tools from his backpack, summoning bones and muscles from the scrolls before setting to work, starting to repair the undead's legs.
