As quickly as they came, the adventurers did not stop for a moment. Rushing to the Heart of Gielinor, they slipped in amongst the chaos. There stood Kruluk, siphoning from the anima, and holding back the warriors of the Heart with his Drake, Kanthi. As the adventurers approached, Kruluk eyed them, acknowledging mortality.
They pondered him for reasons, of which he only had one. He had came to reclaim what was rightfully his. As they continued to talk with him, he took the time to understand the mortal language, and communicated for a moment. As his intentions became more obvious, the warriors brandished their weapons. Kruluk snapped, and so erupted the fight for the future of Gielinor.
The adventurers swarmed for the staff, and Kruluk only continued to fend them off, all the while wondering why the staff seemed so important to them. He knew the staff, to himself, was only a channel of his strength. As he grew angrier, he could feel his life force weakening. The attacks on his body became less obvious, and although he suffered the blows, he was becoming hollow.
Eventually, he sheathed his staff, and he was being held over the ledge, people wanting to bring him back. Kruluk exerted all of his strength into the demonlord who held him, eventually dislodging himself. His lifeless body fell into the Heart's core. His body absorbed it, and his life force returned full. For a moment, he felt whole, rising forth with the pure anima of the Heart. His body was flushing out the emptiness.
As he rose, though, he was only met with anger. Kruluk lifted the arena with fire, but nothing was enough to stop their efforts. A lance of the False Users was injected into his skin, and the poison of the corroded energy seeped in. As he died, he let the world experience a taste of Her wrath, dying with one final fatal blow that would forever scar the world, leaving a permanent mark inside of the Heart.
