I spam with Melee to get my thresholds faster. When I attack a monster -> auto attack, basic, slice, basic, slice, basic, slice, threshold, slice, threshold, slice...etc etc etc. lol

Spamming Magic abilities is dumb. You do pretty much no damage.

Auto attack + Ability with Magic and you're still hardly doing any damage, the only useful thing about it seems to be the accuracy vs Melee.

Even then I rarely find myself switching to magic, because it just seems so much better to have the melee NPC's pretty much obliterated by Quake and Hurricane.

Honestly it's gotten to the point where I don't even bother swapping to Magic anymore.

Range as a secondary seems necessary, but Magic as a secondary? Honestly doesn't seem worth it in the slightest.

I tried a floor with momentum the other day, to see for myself how it was.

True it's not the most efficient, but it definitely wasn't as horrible as I was expecting.

I actually had a reason to switch to Magic while I was using momentum, too. Since I couldn't just AoE the Melee's away with Quake / Hurricane.

I feel like I might finally have to go ahead and get 99 range, just so I can have a decent secondary style in floors.

**: alternate attack style ... I melee primary and range secondary. Mainly because it seemed to work out best for my 1st bind setup combination. Also, I ran across another group in the forums that subscribe to the precept, "anything weak to mage, can be killed with melee." Having no experience with this group, I did test their theory with several solo floors, concluding their idea is reasonably sound.

I do have an alternate mage bind setup for the 2 'Nauts and Hope, if I have time to switch. Also, I use a heavy armor setup for Kalger and a couple other bosses.

We've made a change to our rules:

- You need to pick one of the following three fighting styles and bind weapons that allow you to perform it.
1) primary melee / secondary magic
2) primary melee / secondary range
3) primary range / secondary melee
