XP share off makes floor smoother and more relaxed (map isn't so messed up, if we eliminate bonus paths). So xp share off is less stress for everyone.
And isn't this group main purpose to get dungeoneering xp not other skills xp? If you want mining xp, go to LRC.

Floors/gating/organization can become fairly chaotic if we just keep gt on crit and never get rid of bonus. I've seen it happen a few times in here when others were keying. ~15 or so "mystery" doors on map... was ridiculous. >.>

keying is only complicated if you make it so. i average 30minute floors without map prediction and xpshare turned off, it really isnt needed on floors and just seems like another barrier that will put off new keyers.

Ooh lots to read through.
@Lux: I would've done the same. I noticed in my first and only floor with you that you key a lot like I do Lux, and that post just proves it.
@Sun: I do get 10-30 ping on the 5 Australian / New Zealand servers, but about 3-4 years ago they became unplayable due to -constant- server lag. I do try them every now and then, but I don't expect Jagex to do anything to fix the lag there any time soon. They were great to play on back when Jagex actually cared about RS. :P
In all honesty, ping doesn't bother me that much. After years of playing like this, you get used to it. It's not like there's anything on RS that requires split second reactions anyway. :P

I'm not going to go into the whole Keying and xp share on/off discussion, but I can say that I manage just fine without using XP share off. Just because I do though, doesn't mean others will get the smoothest possible floor without XP share off.
If you're going to floor with someone who asks you to turn it off and knows what they're doing, then please go ahead and do that. They're keying the floor for you, they're using their own personal style of keying. If you're not willing to let them key how they want to, then you're just adding unwanted stress.
Myself, I prefer it if people aren't pathing. Chances are that if you're pathing while I'm keying, it's going to cause unwanted stress and can easily throw me off the floor.
If I'm keying and I ask someone not to path, I expect them to not path.
In the same way, if Buff, or any other keyer asks you to turn off your XP share, I'd expect you to do that out of common courtesy for that keyers style. You can turn it back on right after the floor no problem, you could even turn it back on the moment the boss is found, if you really want to.
Keying can be extremely fun, but it can also be extremely stressful. Just give your keyer the respect and courtesy you'd expect if you were keying the floor yourself.
My 2 cents.

Interesting point that I hadn't thought of:
you could even turn it back on the moment the boss is found, if you really want to.
But, as has been said, it's a tool to determine critial path. Once the boss is found, the critical path has been determined. "Turn it off till the boss is found, because it helps us find the boss faster, after boss is found, do what you want" seems like a sensible thing to do. It enables appropriate ragers/pots to be made in a timely fashion.
I can't give a good reason why I hate turning experience share off. I don't need or care about the experience I get in other skills, I don't even care if I die in the dg and lose experience. For me, it's just something those ranting, raving, rude rushers do and I don't want to play like them.
Personally, I like that as a compromise, because it makes it clear that this is being done for a reason.
