I don't know. We don't have a rule for that, and it's such a small case I don't really think it's worth one. Maybe use your discretion and if it becomes a problem we can make a rule. I think people should not be so uptight as to care one way or another for an in floor hood drop.
I love my hood more than most but from what I can see it makes almost no difference either way now. Cant imagine why people would freak out over people using one that drops but at the same time I cant imagine why you'd feel the need to use it.

I got a pm yesterday night saying that the shadowsilk hood has ben reclassed from 'mage' to 'all' recently. Can someone who still has a hood bound please confirm or deny this? If I find one before I see a reply here I'll post the result myself :p
If it's true, this could be a big game-changer for the hood, and I'll definitely be going some testing... outside dg4fun floors, haha
Looks like its still Mage Class to me, since it still gives primarily melee defence, then some mage and very little range. Like all helms though it doesnt provide any attack bias or handicap.
