i would advise doing the tutorial if you are having trouble with it all. the way dungeoneering is right now is a bit **aotic and the enemies are grossly underpowered, so i would take advantage of that and practice using abilities in there when possible and then move onto slayer tasks where weakness and strengths actually matter.
It's a strange situation you get put in where enemies hit you for 200s while you dish that back tenfold, which is insane when you consider who has the greater lifepoints. primal warriors have maybe 2000 lifepoints and a weakness to melee so 1 swift thwack with a 2h and they are done with. because of this i am finding that the only enjoyable thing about Dg are the bosses because they take a little while to take down and can actually kill you.
personally i would love to see "Thok floors" becoming available with multiple bosses per floor that we can dive into if the current population is going to be this, well, weak.
concerning mind/chaos/death/blood runes, they are used primarily in ancient magicks and partially in lunar, with the only standard spells being a few bolt enchantments.
as for which chaotic you should go for, because the rapier is no longer the slaying superweapon all the chaotics are up for grabs. as for offhands, i am avoiding them for now because, as said, the enhanced excalibur is so much better for just fractionally lower stats, but that is an elite task reward so isnt a viable option for everyone (unless the elite tasks just increase the passive effect).
but having said that, i have been slaying with a whip very easily so maybe a rapier is still the thing to aim for for now until a level ~70 tiered tradable 1 handed stab weapon becomes available. right now i just use Korasi's sword for stab tasks because things still drop fast. was getting laughed at by other slayers for using dual runexbows and royal dhide, how things have changed lol
