My 2 cents
- To much emphasis has been put on solo paths, dying and over eating is a big waste of time. For a reasonably sized path I think duo/trio can be good too (especially since we kill all).

-Some bosses are soloable and others not so much***

Are soloable require a death or two, which most people aren't prepared to do. So generally we don't solo :P

We never force someone to solo path dangerous rooms. If you don't feel up to clearing a room alone just gate it and say "gd gated". Many people still do this and it's fine.

EOC has made more people more comfortable solo pathing though, so overall we have an increase of solo pathing in our floors.

As for bosses, some people like to solo them. I'd like to remind everyone that some people look forward to killing the boss at the end of a floor, so be sure to ask permission before taking out the boss before the end of the floor.

We changed the requirement for the total level from 2300 to 2100. There have been very few applications so we're going to try this out. If we start getting full again we'll raise it back.

I will fix the rankings this weekend.

Alright theres something thats really been irritating me the last month or so. Everyone has all but stopped completing the mazes. Now everyone almost without exception will skip it (if I'm in the floor I usually complete it out of stubbornness if it gets skipped).

It's really annoying to me when people don't finish the maze. The chest could give herb drops, and half the time there is a key in the middle, and I often find people skip the maze and lose a key. It's a bad habit to get into, and it really annoys me since people skip them all the time now.

Finish the damn maze. You'll lose less keys.

It is most definitely worth it considering lots of people simply don't pay attention to the middle of the maze. It's easy enough for you to say that and do it, but even I have observed entire parties move through a maze and ignore the middle and the key in the middle leaving me to run through after them when the maze is constantly hitting me because they were to lazy to do the maze.

If there isn't a key in the middle, I see no point in getting to the middle. It's a waste of time if there isn't a key. We have a potion master role so that we don't need to rely on herbs from chests. Check the minimap to see if there's a key in the middle... if you see a red dot, there is! If not, there isn't.

In my opinion mazes are like rooms that don't have guardian doors. We still kill the monsters in them because it's annoying to run back through them and get hurt later on. We aren't always about what is the fastest way. We are a mixture of safety and efficiency. That is how dg4fun started out. I think it's a good thing to remember sometimes when we may get caught up in the efficiency war.

I'm with Divi and Dster on this. Always used to **** me off when people would ignore a maze, and I'd finish it out of pure spite.

I'm less concerned with keys, because as Whynot and Buff said, they're usually pretty easy to spot(then again, I was always looking at the center because I was trying to get there, and apparently people have missed them enough times to be worth a forum post) - my reasoning is similar to Dster's: We KABDE because it makes a safer floor. Not very safe when one of the room's deals damage over time, IMO. Also keep in mind that the blocks in the maze remain if it's not completed(if memory serves), so if it does turn out to be a room you need to move through several times for whatever reason, you're not only taking damage, but moving through it slower.

I don't really know how critical herbs, charms, and coins are with the dng changes and EoC, so I can't comment on those, but I do imagine they have at least the potential to save time later.

Edit: Mazes are also very fast to solve, if you actually bother to do them regularly. They come in a very limited number of configurations, and with experience it's very easy to take the correct path.

If you don't bother to do them, then you're not going to get that experience, so when you do need to get a key at the center, it's going to take you longer, because you won't know the path.
