Buff, I'd like to give you a warning concerning one of our discussion thread rules:
Problems with specific people are not to be discussed on here. You should bring that up privately with a general.
Please do not post if you cannot follow our rules. Bringing the matter up with the generals does not give you leave to talk about it on here. Leaving out the name doesn't help either. It's just a silly protection to stop them from being able to comment back.
Sereg, the floors are much more efficient now. And it's not just because whynot flashes turmoil (although he does that very well :P ). I keyed a floor without whynot or buff in it and it was 25 minutes. Gene was in the floor too and did awesome. Anyways, I think we're doing well on the road to efficiency and not *ack slipping in the least while keeping dg4fun a fun place for the average dg4funner. We have one disgruntled person, sure, but dg4fun isn't for everyone. I think the majority are very happy with our floor quality - at least I am. If this is what RD is like then I should start recommending them to friends again :) .

I already did and nothing became of it, but ok.
"The problem comes when people are new, or they go into a floor with the usual expectation of armor, pots, few deaths; and then people leaving the skilling to the side to be sorted out by anyone who wants it, as a "I don't want armor therefore I'm not going to skill. If you want it I don't mind, but I'm not making it for you"."
~
I've never seen that happen. If someone asks me to skill (only farming since my mining/smith are too low), then yeah I will lol. Same with Whynot and Lucas. However, this is very rare since a lot of other people prefer to skill while we prefer to fight, and it's better that way because we're good at what we do. As you said Divi, if you have a platebody (and especially if you have a hood in addition to that) bound, you really don't need legs to survive. In fact, I'd bet you'd survive even better if the person making legs was next to you fighting instead of at base skilling. Boss pots are kinda obsolete in the floors I do, or used to do, since they would always arrive or be ready when the boss was either already dead or low enough hp that teleing out and grabbing the pot would result in an overall loss of time.
Whynot and I understand that people in here want xp and fun to go along with that, we truly do. We don't get mad when people pick up food, base for prayer, etc., however, it does get a little annoying when people tele into a room without pray mage on and complain to us that they got hit really hard. Do any of you remember way back in the day when we'd have gt *outside* of the room to prevent that and how inefficient it was? Eventually we moved past that and just left gt in the rooms, and you all were fine with that.
With that said, I and a few others do believe that boss pots and legs are very unnecessary. Even Divi said that just a plate was enough. Most of the people in here have that AND a hood, so surely survival should be simple, right? Guess not though. :/

We make armor because it gives people more protection from attacks. We know that the most efficient way to do a KABDE is to not make pots or armor. We choose the middle ground because it allows the relaxed people to be less stressed about staying alive.
Boss pots in almost every floor I'm in are at the altar way before boss time. Maybe you should have looked there.
The most efficient way to do dungeons is to only do the killing that is necessary**** gds. We choose not to do that because we want to take the middle ground to make the floor less stressful and more fun.
I'm sorry that you have not been very active in dungeons lately or else you would have noticed that only 1 out of 5 people have hoods now. Most of these people are newer additions to our team and will eventually unhood.

I'm not going to comment on any of the above, in my opinion that would just lead to more debate like it does right now, which seems to be much more out of spite than constructive, from all sides. I do want to state that others (again this too goes for all sides) should not use my name to post in my place. If I wanted to explain myself I'd be very well capable of doing so. Anything said that is supposedly my opinion, while it is in many cases indeed so, should be disregarded.
Anyway.
What I do want to clarify is the suiciding. I pretty much suicide all my floors because I simply don't care about experience. I'm about 80% of the way toward maxing out Dungeoneering experience, and I have over 10M tokens. I Dungeoneer entirely and exclusively because I enjoy it, and I know that I will keep enjoying it past the point of maxing out my experience, regardless of whether I do that at a slow or a fast pace. Therefore it is irrelevant how much xp I get for a floor, and thus I can take deaths in order to restore prayer or conserve food (that be for myself or others).
This is also the sole reason why I don't care about having legs made. Because I am likely to die anyway, it is a pure waste of time. I completely understand that people who have a different mentality will want legs, and I've smithed many pairs of legs for others myself.
I just wanted to make that clear. What you think of it, is up to you. I'm not going to get involved in this further than that clarification, for I believe that would be futile :)

Saw the word "suicide" so I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents before disappearing into afkland.
I've asked many people if it bothers them, the response is usually "no" although there are a few people against it.
I do my best to make use of the skillers supplies. The only thing I don't tend to use is their altar, although I am nice enough to supply cash for it. :P
I either save my floor pot for the boss, or use it and try to survive a bit longer than usual by conserving prayer.
Even though I am suiciding, I still use the legs you make me, who doesn't like a bit of extra defence? Although I wouldn't be annoyed if you chose not to make them either.
I'm not suiciding because I don't value the skillers input. I do it because I'm lazy and constantly using Turmoil is fun. Also don't worry, I don't expect you to make me 5 floor pots. :P
I don't see it as an issue really, but I may have a slightly biased view of it. :P
