one of the main things that needs to be fixed when it comes to summoning is removing the ability to interact with another person's familiar.
the ghast familiar was a prime example of what i think special attack based familiars should be like: right click = examine, no dialogue meant to make the creatures seem more relatable, just an "oo look, a big green ghost" button
or fix it so that your familiar is at the top of the pile! i am tired of playing BoB storage roulette every time someone pops up with the same familiar as i have.
the familiars in Dg are a lot better in structure and a lot easier to navigate through with them all tiered to each level group but they still suffer from the same irritations. i know that their dialogue is there to expand the lore of daemonhiem, and i love lore based content, but i hate when the only way that it is accessed is when you missclick on your own mid fight because he has decided to wander onto your target.Ah yes the rolling hills of the Gorajo plane really make you f....shut the hell up and sunder that blue-haired crack addict! :@
one thing i really cant wait for with summoning rework is how the familiars will look with updated graphics! the steel titan right now looks like its stomach is the lowerhalf of a beak.
all in all they need better a.i. when it comes to fights (rambo BoB's nibbling their way to a victorious losing of your stuff, spec fighters doing nothing but sitting on your enemy's face); better variety and usefulness (omg im being attacked, i choose you: Karamthulhu Overlord!); better use for effort making (icey the titan is so lonely :( (s)he needs two secondaries for basically the same use as mossy and pyro so is never trained with even though (s)he is obviously the coolest *harhar*); and a better, more accessible interface (maybe the empty toolbar tab could be used for familiars)
tbh i can't wait :D

Well, this is my resignation letter type thing.
I realize a lot of you will be rejoicing that I'm leaving, cool. A few will be sad, cool as well. I'm leaving because this chat looks down on efficiency, and that's not how I like to dg. I was told I need to solo path less, which is essentially telling me to go slower. No, I will not do that. I like kabde; however, I do not like the idea of looking down on efficiency. That was the reason I left Relaxed Dung to help make this fc (I know, I know, you don't like me bringing it up, I don't care, it's part of the story). RD turned terrible: allowing their members to bind every bind imaginable and say that it's okay because they don't care about efficiency, fighters weren't allowed to open doors, the only person on the team allowed to give any directions at all was just the keyer, the skiller spent the entire floor skilling, etc..
I'm leaving the fc because Dg4fun is turning into RD. Disagree with me all you'd like, I don't care; it's my opinion. Allowing people to bind inefficient binds? Check. Fighters not allowed to give directions? Check. Not caring about efficiency? Check. Skillers (dsers) spending the entire floor skilling? Check.
I want no part in that, and it's been made clear that all of the generals in the fc want me to leave. That's fine, I'm gone. Don't worry though, I was planning on stopping dging here anyway once EoC comes out because I know the generals won't make people get specific abilities on their action bars, which will be essential for dps. Have fun guys, cya.
Notable people I've legitimately liked/had a willingness to improve as well:
Whynotnow
Pokeyball
L ucas
Thy Medic
Wewe12
Mousecatmom
Hanomax
John
Robyn
Charla
Sereg
...and a few other people whose names I can't remember right now. Thanks for making this fc fun guys, cya.

Buff, I don't have any comments about your reasons for leaving the friend chat. I haven't been a part of it for a long time, so who am I to comment?
But I left the fc and we stayed friends - I hope you leaving the fc doesn't change that. Yes, we have annoyed each other at times, but, oh well, friends do that to each other :)
Hope to still see you around!

Ok, had to log in to post this.
What exactly has changed now? Back when I played, we were about efficiency, at least within our limitations(killing everything, limited skilling). We tolerated more relaxed players, because some of them were still learning, and those that preferred to remain relaxed tended to segregate themselves to a degree from the more efficient dungeoneers anyway.
When there was overlap between those groups, the minority adapted to the playstyle of the majority. We had occasional conflicts(repeated hood debates come to mind), but nothing serious, and we all agreed to disagree.
So what's happened? Have all or most of the efficient players left or stopped, leaving a majority of relaxed players? Or has the standard of efficiency risen(as I've speculated in some of my previous posts) to the point where formerly efficient players like myself would no longer meet the current standards?
To address Buff's point about EoC action bars, that will remain to be seen when we get there. I expect that, as with binds and rings, some variation will be tolerable, whereas other variation(Hailstorm dagger, anyone?) will not work so well. I wouldn't expect a firm requirement on a specific set of actions anymore then I would on a specific set of binds. But the fact is, you're going to be expected to be capable of efficiency. It's just that there won't be a single solution.
Also, I'm sad not to be on Buff's list. But I suppose it has been a long time since I did any dungeons with anyone...

John said I could post, so I'm going to.
First, Sereg, idk what you're talking about, you're on the list. ;)
Second, the only reason I suicide is because I get 0 xp. I don't suicide because of time reasons, I do it because it allows other people to get more food and use less prayer, all while having monsters killed faster. The end result of that just happens to be faster times. Whynot thinks the same way.
We can't control how people interpret that, if they feel like they're leeching, so be it.
@Sereg's questions/concerns, it has changed. Floors (at least the ones I've been in) are faster now, but really I give a lot of credit to the constant use of turmoil by whynot and myself, the keybag update and the toolbelt update. Yes Sereg, it used to be where if the majority of the team were "slow" people, the faster people would slow down a bit. That's fine. The inverse of that applies too. However, it has shifted from that to "n*, just be slower." In the floor that triggered my post here, there were two "relaxed" people and three "rushers." In that floor, one of the relaxed people failed portals four times in a row and yelled at us for it, gave us a magic and gatherer's potion when we needed a ranged potion and insisted that it was a ranged potion until she checked (she yelled at us for that as well btw), however, did we really care during the floor? No, not really. We had more productive things to do, like kill the boss.
The majority rule thing that used to be in effect is no longer true. They don't want "rushers" anymore, they just want people to be stagnant at a certain level of efficiency, no lower, no higher. Just my opinion, of course. Anyway, I'm going to dinner now, have fun guys. You don't need to reply, John just said I could post and I wanted to answer Sereg's question.
