NO! They need the leave clan process EXTENDED - example -

"click tooltip -->select leave clan"
"Are you sure you want to [send request to be discharged from the clan to the Clan owner?/deputy owners]
Request must then be approved [this would also be a failsafe for hacked accounts]."

I don't think this would work, as it would need modifying of offline data (i.e. an admin+ receiving the request once they log in) and it would cause many issues. Also, people should be able to leave/join instantly whenever they want and at their own discretion without the need for leadership approval and being held hostage by leaders (for up to 24 hours). Time limited things are neither good nor favourable, as we saw with the clan cooldown in the past.

An improved leaving button, placement and (thorough) confirmation process would suffice.

Perhaps replacing the Group chat symbol to be the same as leaving the clan chat channel (the yellow bubble) would be of benefit.

Thus leaving the door with the red arrow for leaving a clan.

I know that if you reduce the size of the clan chat channel it puts the buttons under a collapsible funnel like icon. Perhaps by default the leave button should be positioned behind that always? Requiring a member to always press the funnel before clicking leave the clan.

I dont see why we need to keep changing the symbol, i doubt very much that it will matter to some people and will always be interpreted differently by different people, separating as mentioned away from the interface is certainly the best option still for both reasons.

This just seems to be making things difficult for all people concerned.

Really! I don't think this is a good idea I wouldn't want to burden myself or a deputy owner with approving a discharge players should be able to move freely about the game since they do pay membership in my opinion the PIN to leave a clan works for me!

Well, true, but lots of leavers get regret and want to come back. But yeah, the leave process needs a little more work so as to not make it easy to do accidentally, but still needs to remain simple 23 200ms. Founder of Jamandy52 skilling clan. Mod Maz changed the button to leave a clan permanently to stand out from the others. If I'm not mistaken she also reorganized the layout of the buttons as well.

I think its much better than it was before, but this year we've had two people do the exact same thing.

Perhaps changing the location of the button (as others have suggested, its currently in the same position as leave buttons in other tabs such as groups) would be a good solution.

I also liked the idea about having a 10 second timer or something before you can confirm you want to leave the clan. This would certainly catch people's attention because it will be so different from leaving friendchats or groups and would likely eliminate the issue of careless clicking / confirmations.

It also wouldn't make it any harder for members to leave clans, which is something I think is important when considering changes to the system.
