'Portables' FC, originally 'Portables FC', was founded on May 30th, 2014 by

to share locations of any portables you or anyone is deploying, helping others gain the bonus xp and other benefits from these useful items.

FC Capacity
- People in the lobby will be kicked to free space when the FC is nearly full (90+).

Hosts
- Anyone may host. Hosts are players who share their portables with and help the community.

Callers
- Anyone may help out and call locations, including ranks. Help others like yourself find their location. Players may also post on this thread with updated locations if they wish.

Ranks
- Ranks are simply volunteers who are helpful and trusted in the FC. Do not expect them to actively call locations constantly during their presence as they are under no obligation, and may only be monitoring the chat and/or occupied with in-game activities, as any player.

Donations
- Any donations should be given to the hosts. Hosts must not ask for donations in the FC. You may donate/help out by adding more portables to their portable, extending the duration.

Trolls
- Handling trolls can be done by hosting at a citadel (with cc ban list access), letting a rank know, changing worlds/locations or simply ignoring them.

Neither helpers (hosts/callers) nor ranks receive anything in return for helping, so make sure to thank them.

1.1 - How the FC works

Anyone may call or host portables.

Looking for a portable

:

- Ask kindly in the FC if there are any active locations of the portable you need. If there aren't any, either start one up and host yourself, wait around patiently or come back later. Please remember to thank the caller and hosts.

If muted, ask through Quick Chat: "Where can I get item: Portable (...)?"

F2P : Crafters, Braziers, Ranges and Fletchers are F2P. F2P hosts are very rare in the FC, therefore do not expect active F2P locations all of the time. We recommend checking these locations as F2P players usually tend to host there: 3, 11, 17 & 29 at LM, BU or the GE.

Hosting a portable

:

- State in the FC which portable(s), world, location and possibly the length of time you’re going to be hosting for. Please note that we only call popular portable locations listed below on post 1.4.

NOTE: Please wait around 5 minutes before calling a location dead . The host may be AFK/restocking or someone else may take over hosting especially if the location is crowded.

Calling a portable

:

- Gather from the FC any announced locations by hosts or players and note them for calling when requested. You may verify the location by checking it, if necessary. Please make sure, if possible (as it can be difficult to determine), that the host has agreed to share their location when announced by a player.

Abbreviations

:

For abbreviations and detailed information on portables and locations, please refer to posts 1.3 and 1.4 below.

Any stated number stands for the world .

Example:

1.2 - Rules

Read the rules before using the FC. Only one warning will be given - spammers and flamers may be kicked on sight.

All Jagex rules apply

No spam
- Any type of spam is not allowed.

No trading
- Any sort of trading is not allowed.

No flaming or complaints
- Be polite and respectful. Rude, disruptive and offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Complaints should always be taken to ranks through PM, and not in the FC.

Off-topic allowed
- as long as it's not offensive, argumentative or spamming the chat (if someone asks for a location, stop and then resume).

English only
- If you must explain something to someone who does not speak English, please do it in PM.

No asking for donations
- Do not ask for or encourage players to donate in the FC. Feel free to ask in public, but do not spam, beg or demand for them. If someone asks if they can donate in the FC, please refer them to the hosts.

No lobbying
- Players in the lobby will be removed by ranks when the FC is nearly full (90+) to free space in the FC.

No host trolling
- Please follow simple and common hosting etiquette. Do not troll, lack respect and convenience, host and be a nuisance about it or not follow the rules in general. Do not place portables away from the bank especially with the intent of trolling and griefing, by making players constantly walk back and forth between them and the bank. It is a huge inconvenience, overall inefficient and also generates lag. We only call and allow locations where portables can be placed next to the bank, and they are expected to be placed accordingly and appropriately. Otherwise, your location will not be called and you will potentially be removed/banned from the chat.

No clan recruiting
- Asking players to join your clan or looking for clans in the FC is not permitted.

No advertising

- Do not ask players to buy something for you off the G.E, request assist, lend items, team up or anything that would require them to meet you somewhere, nor should you advertise anything unrelated to portables on or off the RuneScape website. This FC's only purpose is to share portable locations.

No left-click placers near portables
- Placers such as clan vexes, banners, markers and other deployable left-click items that may block and interfere with the portables or the bank should be placed away.

No OSRS, BETA or Ironman players
- These players cannot use portables. They will not be allowed to stay.

Do not ask for pulse cores

- We track and call portable locations, not pulse cores. Asking for them is disruptive for that reason in addition to the fact that they are too random and no one can really give you an answer. If someone happens to mention that they are being used at their location, that is fine, but do not ask for them and expect or demand an answer.

1.3 - Portables

They are obtained from Treasure Hunter (TH) or the G.E. Each portable has its own unique benefits and can be placed on most tiles, lasting 5 minutes and stacking up to 60 minutes through extending (by adding more portables to it). All portable skills are artisan skills.

Range (R)

: Cooking

- 21% XP boost.
- 5% chance to double a cooked food portion (sent to bank).

Well (WE)
: Herblore

- 10% XP boost.
- 5% chance to create a second potion (sent to bank).
- Water source.
- Infinite supply of vials of water.

Crafter (C)
: Crafting

- 10% XP boost.
- 10% chance to save hides.
- 10% chance to save clay.
- 5% chance to save gems, excluding hydrix and onyx.
- Tan hides - same cost as a standard tannery.

Brazier (BR)
: Firemaking

- 15% XP boost (10% portable XP boost + 5% bonfire maximum XP boost).
- 10% chance to save a log while burning.
- 5% life point bonfire boost for 66 minutes, upon adding one log.
- Cremation, if unlocked (200% normal burying XP as Firemaking XP + 250% Prayer XP).

Fletcher (F)
: Fletching

- 10% XP boost.
- 10% chance to save logs while making bows or crossbows.
- 10% chance to string two bows or crossbows at once for no additional cost.
- 10% chance to save feathers, arrowheads and headless arrows while making arrows or bolts.

Sawmill (S)

: Construction (logs into planks)

- 10% discount fee.

Log - Cost
Logs - 90 gp
Oak - 225 gp
Teak - 450 gp
Mahogany - 1350 gp

Workbench (WB)

: Construction (flatpacks)

- 10% XP boost.
- Additional chance to save planks.

1.4 - Locations

Portables are only called in the FC at these locations.

Lumbridge Market (LM)
: North-west of Lumbridge lodestone, west of the furnace. Replaced the Combat Academy after an update.

Lumbridge Crater (LC)
: West of Lumbridge lodestone, behind the castle. Replaced by
Beach (BE)
during the event in the summer.

Barbarian Assault (BA)
: Barbarian Outpost bank, north-west of Seer's Village. The fastest way to get there is by using a Games necklace (option 2) to teleport to Barbarian Outpost.

Shantay Pass (SP)
: South of Al-Kharid. You can use a Glory amulet to teleport right next to the chest.

Burthorpe (BU)
: At the bank. Use Burthorpe lodestone.

Castle Wars (CW)
: West of Yanille. Easiest way to get there is by using a Ring of dueling, option 2.

Prifddinas (Prif)
: Elf city - at the Tower of Voices (GE) , unless otherwise specified at other banks/districts in the city i.e.
Meilyr (MEI), Ithell (ITH), Max Guild (MG)
. Plague’s End quest is required.

Imperial district (IMP)
: Menaphos VIP skilling area, north-west of the lodestone. T7 Menaphos reputation is required.

Player Owned Farm (POF)
: Manor Farm, next to Ardougne lodestone. 300 beans are required.

Well of Goodwill (WG)
: South of the Varrock GE entrance.

Burgh de Rott (BDR)
: Burgh de Rott bank in Morytania. This is a special location for wells only, due to the Morytania legs 4 boost when making prayer renewals . The well can be placed just outside of the bank, and does not require movement as potions can be mixed directly at the bank booth after using the well once.

Clan Citadel (CC)
: Enter as a guest by joining the portal at the Clan Camp south of Falador.

F2P : Due to the rarity of F2P locations, they may be hosted and called anywhere, such as the GE (Grand Exchange), and not only as per the locations listed above.

Location restrictions

Forbidden worlds

These worlds are not allowed to be called by players.

Foreign worlds

- Not found on the normal (English) world list and require relaunching the client and playing the game in a different language.

As a host, it is highly recommended to host in any other world if you like the location.
