i dont see why this be a shame , this is something i wanted to do as well, these people who, lie, scam, cheat, steal, from other people make those other players who dont want to join rs again, after something has happened to them.

so its about time, we shame these people for what they are doing to others.

im in support of this 100%

also quick note, i dont see why this is shaming them when this is clearly on the clf forums so this post is for those who are mods, clan leaders and a 2nd player that they wish to see and post stuff. so the scammers, lurers, cheaters etc dont see it but us only

Ignoring the fact that you contradict yourself twice in the same post, you are failing to see the fatal flaw of this system. Sure, in a perfect world where acts like these can be proven to have happened and the mistake rate was 0% this might be able to be possible. Sadly, it is simply one single person with the ability to tag people as incompatible.

I'm the farthest thing from an SJW you will ever meet, however I am a firm believer in due process and balanced systems. If you want to tell your friends not to recruit someone that is fine - but having a list that implies guilt without proof is just plain wrong.

as I said, this isn't a distorted view on people, and I specifically said to not add to this list for that very reason. every one who is on here is on here for a reason and I gave contact names to verify my word, in game I have helped dozens of clans stay clear of scammers and lurers and toxic players, many people in game have been able to avoid these kinds of people because of me and my group. all of the names on this list are built from that, the list slowly grew in game after scammers lurers botters and toxic ppl were spotted and their clan leaders were notified and they were dealt with, the only reason I posted it here so more clan leaders can see it, instead of me having to relay all of my notes to the players in game who want to know who to watch out for, further more as I have already stated in the start of the thread I do not condone any harassment of these people, if you do that you are liable to reported as well, if you see any of these people, or catch them in the act, report them, if they try to join your clan just simply turn them down. the only way this can be abused if YOU abuse it.

While this does have good intentions, the CLF still has to follow the "No Naming & Shaming players" rule. By creating a list of people to not recruit, you are naming these players in a negative light - in a forum where they are unable to defend themselves no less.

That said, there are offsite places you could go to with these player names. An example would be the RS Crime Tracker on Twitter (@RSCrimeTracker), which is run by the Vigilante organization P.U.R.G.E. I'm only giving them as a source because they at least acknowledge that accusations may not be 100% accurate.

editing to add
It appears Crime Tracker has already made a tweet about the 2nd to last person on your list.

I didn't do anything wrong by posting this, go ahead and take it down if it offends you, but this list has helped many in game, I have no malicious intent of this list, and have taken precautions to make sure everyone on the list is true and not just by rumor. I have taken even more precautions here to make sure it doesn't get abused atall, this is to help clan leaders, and help mods by giving them some people to look out for, all of these people have been reported yet are still playing. this is a more effective way of letting people, (clan leaders and mods) know who to watch out for.

as I also stated, all these accusations are 100% accurate. as I and others have witnessed each and every one of these incidents, I gave a whole list of people you can contact if you don't believe my word.

Your eyewitness isn't proof of offence. A list of witnesses means nothing.

Yes, you did do something wrong here, and we've already explained what you did wrong.

We still have to follow the rules of the regular RS forums here. The difference is we get a little more freedom of discussion, but we still can't make accusations against players, even if the accusations are true. In fact, things like this are bad enough where people can (and have) be removed from CLF for it.

Re-read the code of conduct ;)
http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/c=a16OVdnidWs/codeofconduct.ws

1. We’re not after keyboard warriors here! Do not attack or flame any players, no matter any history you have. It isn’t permitted on the forums.
2. Do not post vulgar or profane content, do not bypass the censor with the intent to offend or shock, do not give inappropriate references to bodily functions, no innuendo’s please; nobody wants to see it.
3. You cannot show a specific player in a negative light, so no naming and shaming.
4. Posts to start or advertise trust trading is not permitted on the forums.

Although I understand your intentions are pure, that doesn't mean it's allowed to make such a list on the official RuneScape forums. There have been several topics about this before you've received your access to the CLF and all of them were closed by JMods. I don't have a problem with your list, but if you want to keep it you have to maintain it on an offsite, not here.

This topic gets brought up a lot of times.

No support - open to mass abuse, regardless of whether all of the names are legitimate. Being 'toxic' is completely subjective as well.

People will distort the view of others according to subjective opinion and personal perspectives, issues, drama etc. Everyone deserves a clean slate moving from a clan and going on to another, without the past (clans/members) haunting them.

If they're a scammer, toxic etc, that's up to their new clan to find out and judge.

What's to verify or stop me from adding, for example, 'E L E' on the list and saying he's a toxic player/scammer, because I had an issue with him in the past, or was bitter he left my clan, and I'm just doing it out of spite because I don't want him to be able to get into future clans? You can see how it's open to great abuse.

I'm all against toxic players, scammers and so on, but unfortunately the potential harm and manipulation that can be caused massively outweighs the benefit that can be derived from it.

Couldn't have said it better Progs :) No support for OP. Too many clan leaders like to go on power trips for me to support a name-and-shame witch-hunt.
