Had something like this happen yesterday with a new recruit (a random we recruited in w2 to help finish our T7 battlefield. Gotta love that visitor count requirement *rolls eyes*)

Anyway, back on topic. We got a complaint from someone on w3 who came into our chat to inform us about a member there who was dressed in Pernix, wielding a zaryte bow asking for donations. I went to check it out and the recruit had moved away from the ge. PM'd them, said they are putting our clan in a negative light and to stop. The recruit said they would as they didn't want to create any drama. I believe in second chances, so as long as they really do stop that will be the end of it. If they don't, they'll be kicked and banned. I'm honestly not holding my breath that this will be the end of it.

The ironic thing is the player who complained about them tried to scam me. This was after telling me that they were on a mission to clean up the game. lol They're now on our ignore list.

I didn't want to recruit because of this kind of thing. Bombarded by beggars while trying to recruit. Attracting the attention of low-lifes by being there. How fun.

On the bright side, we did get 30 visitors this week and the battlefield is complete. SIGH.

I'm really happy to see that the vast majority of people on CLF view this behavior as scamming. This seems to be much more of a debate on public forums =)

Not surprising. By nature, leaders lean towards having much more responsibility and credibility. Taking more responsibility will also enable them to widen their perception and way to look at things, where they realize they are not the center of the Universe.

By the same token, those who don't hold much responsibility and/or care about credibility will unfortunately lean towards getting caught up into the "what's in it for me" trap, while also improperly using the banner of "freedom" as an excuse (common practice) to justify unethical behavior, when all there to it is lack of understanding to what it means to be honorable.

I don't know if I'd kick them out of my clan, but I'd ask them to stop and maybe put them on my ignore list. This certainly isn't positive behavior, but I think it is different than more serious types of scamming, such as impersonating Jagex staff to hijack accounts.

Hm... Firstly I would question the guy who is doing it, I mean what if they are joking around (Even though this joke is in a poor taste) if they are joking around I would warn them not to do it again as it is seen as scamming and it can belittle our clan name. (if ignored kick)
However if I get ignored anyway or he is scamming for real... kick

What if he is a high rank? Well take it from me we have a strict ranking system so the chance of that would be slim... unless someone got hacked in that case I'd ask my other high ranks on opinions what to do - may have to kick anyway and question him the next day.

@OP you didn't state what you would do if you saw someone doing that in your clan
