I wouldn't ask individual Jmods their opinions on changes :P

Why you assume he is giving out an "opinion"? It could very well be a fact. We don't know yet.

I can't say I'm upset. While I see your reasoning for wanting them to be tradeable, I think that no MXT items should be a tradeable, as it promoted a clear pay to win perspective. I understand there are bonds which you can pay for and sell, but that's (kinda) understandable, to limit the use of goldfarming bots and those fraudulent sites.
However, with an item you can buy off Solomon's Store I believe is just wrong on too many levels. Again, I know some TH items are tradeable, and I don't think these should be either, but since that's random as to whether you get it or not it's a bit better than Solomons.

Just my opinion though.

The change was made to prevent fraud by RWT traders and hackers. You can still use the boosters on your own clan mates, but we have removed the trade option due to naughty people being very naughty. :( Mod MattHe | Former Community Manager, now in Events & occasional Lore Monkey

are you allowed to say how this fraude worked? I can't really imagine how but doing offers for 'free' runecoins which you buy the boosters with so you can sell these for rs gp?

EDIT: so we can't use them on friends as well?

Myself and my clan leaders were giving buying and giving out citadel boosters as rewards and incentives and it was working fine - so I simply cannot understand why the change was needed?

You can still use them on clan members, so what's the problem?

I'm arguing more on the price issue - not everyone has large amounts of loyalty points spare or may not have the money irl to buy runecoins and buy it that way - as a long time member I get 30k loyalty points a month (depending on the month as it can be 25k) going on those alone I need to wait 3 months just to buy 1 citadel booster - that in my opinion is being unreasonable.

It's not fair on the rest of us that 1 or 2 people have to spoil it for the majority - could the offenders not have been dealt with and the issue sorted and that way keeping it tradable?

If it will remain untradable - do you know if the prices will be lowered or can they be obtainable through capping or other means?

You can buy it for runecoins or loyalty points but instead of trading you now use it on a clan member now sure about someone not in your clan

Thats weird, i cant think of how this could be used in that way, no more so than any other form of RWT item.

Lots of accounts with lots of loyalty points I would assume, easy money.

I heard (cannot confirm it) that someone 'duped' it or something on those lines and was selling it on G.E and to prevent everyone from doing it this action was taken now as opposed to changing it on a Monday update like normal.
