However, while 60% is a large amount, that doesn't mean that everyone who's in a clan cares a lot about clan administrative stuff such as permissions, or clan perks such as citadels. Perhaps some of them care about the community, perhaps others joined but haven't left since it doesn't really matter either way.

Absolutely right and although Clan Leaders speak on behalf of their Clans, of course that doesn't mean 100% of their Clan is in agreement with what they say.

Not really sure what happened to the Player Power Polls (or whatever they were called) , but could Clan Power Polls be a thing for potential Clan updates, then majority of Clan members could show their support?

This months Poll:
. Fishing Citadel Plot
. White-list for Clans
. Squirrels running rampant around the Citadel

Although I think we'd need to limit the amount of squirrel based updates for fear of Clans going nuts over them.

In order to poll on Clan updates we would have to have resource to develop them - currently our development projects have full use of our resource. Polling without there being a gap in our schedule would build false expectations that we would really not want to create.

Is there much point in us coming up with new ideas using the CLF ?, or should we really use the forums for bug fixes, and Flag a concern?

Maybe we will get told when there is time to do some of the updates but i feel kinda deflated after reading the thread

I'm not blaming anyone or complaining, just sometimes the truth isn't as nice as you would want it to be

In all fairness we are not here to make content. Just because we all clan owners here doesn't mean we know what's best for every single person.

Jagex will have a better view for the future of the game.

I see the CLF more of a place there we can give our valued opinions and judgement that can be taken into account when forming updates that affect clans. Of course updates have to be value for money as Jagex are a business after all

in all fairness, that's completely besides the point of this thread.

On topic;

I appreciate Both Mod Mathe and Mazz taking their time to go in to this a bit deeper into this topic, in this thread.

moving on, on what Chuncksofplum said.

Is there a way we get to know, what exactly is on the list as seen interesting?
I mean generally we can keep suggesting till we turn green.
If something is not going to happen anyway, or some topic crosses your screen, which makes you roll your eyes, are useless. Its a useless spending of our time suggesting, but even more of your time spending reading.

It might be interesting to know if some idea of the clf gets taken in to consideration. And on what list it ends up, short term, mid term, long term, no-can-do...

I know you can't react to certain stuff, cause it creates expectations, which in some cases are used against you. But if its somehow clear that the 'lists' aren't time related...
Thinking of it, short term, long term etc, could maybe be changed with priority 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and no-can-do. or something like that.

that way, it wouldn't suggest a time, but it at least would give, those spending quite some time thinking about how to improve the game towards clan, some idea of how usefull their suggestions are.

Maybe if the company wasnt dictated by people who have no idea about the game then sure.

It would be nice to know the sort of things which we could suggest that could be looked at without the "too complicated" stamp, but it does seem as Plum said that those suggestions should only be for fixes than anything else.

Would certainly save the threads of suggestions gaining support and then dying off, if the Clan Leaders knew there was no point to asking/ suggesting.
