He also listed a few other ideas he had for clan updates, and said that he would like to see ways to boost activity in clans, and to see clan mates doing more activities together like minigames and D&Ds. I searched a bit in CLF and found Clan Owned Boss and Avatars: Redundant Buff Rework , where clan leaders discussed their feedback on some similar ideas.

If you have any ideas for updates, try doing a quick search to see what's been discussed so far, and make a thread if you'd like to get some feedback from CLF about the idea. Hopefully we can work together and come up with some ideas that we like and are technically feasible, keeping in mind that we have wonderful J Mods who work hard to give us updates and offer their time to respond to our input and help us understand what goes on behind the scenes.

I hope this helps to clarify some of the ideas behind this thread, and I hope everyone enjoys the Menaphos update :)

Somewhat off topic but I'm kind of surprised that Jmods are interacting and getting ideas and priorities via Clan Leader Discord vs Clan Leader Forums. This leaves many of us that do not use the Discord without a voice. O_o

They use both and matthe takes our comments in this section and discusses it within the business. It was just the fact Mod Osborne joined and had a conversation with us there which basically ended with us linking him several threads from the CLF and 2 outside of it.

Jagex has always said that the RSOF is going to be the official medium they use. They will get feedback from discord as its dynamic and more fast paced than the forums though. Creator of the Clan Leader Discord & Clan Discord

The Heads of Jagex are aware of the CLF. They know what we want, how we want it done, when we want it done, how much influence we have, what we'e capable of, how angry we are, and how this can be fixed.


They simply do not give a damn.


The time to rely on Jagex to improve out position in this game has come to an end in my opinion. We need to stop waiting around for them, and take matters into our own hands. I'm not saying "build the code ourselves," because that'd be pointless and stupid. I'm saying we need to minimize our reliance on Jagex's software.

Should we continue to use the clan system? of course, but that shouldn't be the only thing we use. It's not hard to set up a Discord channel, and Discord provides more features than the in-game clan chat does. Need a place to store info? Places like Webs.com will allow you to create a clan website for free for an unlimited amount of time - and we wouldn't have to worry about Jagex being overzealous and removing things. Need to keep track of your Roster? Use RuneClan, Blasty's Logger, or the Serenity Isle Tracker.

We don't have to rely on Jagex, and the sooner we stop relying on them, the better things will get for us. I'm sure with all the egghead clan leaders and P.U.R.G.E. Techs floating around, we can create external clan tools that render whatever Jagex as totally obsolete.

Literally, the only hold up for us is Citadels. There's no "solution" to the Citadel problem except to either 1) Universally boycott it, or 2) Keep treading water. We can create our own "Clan permission Rework," and just use our clan rules to enforce it. If someone doesn't follow your Permission Rework, they get kicked/demoted, simple as that.

Which it should, I just usually prefer discord since its easier, and much simpler to "chat" rather than post. If I ever get time ill post a detailed thread with my ideas and why i think they are needed for the game. Till then, hopefully others can do the same and eventually something can come from that. Its nice to see the Jmods Interacting with us though.
