I recently earned enough thaler through Fishing Trawler to be able to buy the final piece of the Master RC outfit. I started going to FT because it was spotlighted at the time, but I stuck with it even after the spotlight moved on, because it's possible to solo it, and it's not possible to solo GOP.

I do know how to play GOP; it's just difficult to find a time when three other people I know want to play it with me. I'm not willing to play with randoms, because so many of them feel entitled to tell me I suck at the game.

It's a multiplayer game, it's wrong you can get rewards from multiplayer minigames by soloing easy peasy minigames. I know GOP is dead, because the rewards are mainly pre-RuneSpan. But you not willing to play with randoms is really your problem. It's part of the game and part of the challenge of GOP to coordinate a team of players you most likely won't know. Ofcourse experienced players will rant a bit on noobs who join the minigame without even taking 2 minites of their time to find out what GOP is about. But in most games I had alot of fun with people I never knew.

Simply put, I don't think you deserve the Master RC outfit without putting in the effort to play the Great Orb Project. That's like getting a Fire Cape by killing hellhounds.

Sorry if it sounds like an attack, but many players spent a great deal of time and effort to learn multiple minigames. Just being able to grind one and still get most rewards of harder minigames isn't fair.

I've read through all the posts here and noticed two things:

* The majority of the comments agree that old content needs to be at least fixed; maybe revamped.
* A lot of comments blame management (brainless suits) for the lack of direction this game has.

I call bullshit on the second one. I am also a software developer, and the company I work for also has a weekly release schedule, yet the people who decide what gets released when are all senior developers. The big buys do decide what gets in, but not when.

This is a big difference compared to Jagex, as it allows developers to fix things before moving on to something new. I myself cannot be proud of my work if it's not pitch perfect, and if someone tells me to leave something broken to add something else because the numbers say it will make them more money: fuck them.

The developers at Jagex should start providing some resistance to the management. Unless of course, to quote Mod Jacmob... the developers at Jagex are codemonkeys.

This thread doesn't strike me as in being relevant to the CLF. The opening post doesn't specify anything to do with Clans. It seems to be purely a general discussion and a complaint about the overall situation of old vs new content. Not that the point is invalid, but it just seems to belong elsewhere.

If it is meant that Clan updates are neglected (which they extremely are), I think that should at least be mentioned in the first post.

I think the thread was made in response to another thread about lack of clan updates and it was mentioned that new updates were preferred over revamping new content. Then to see if that was true, this thread was made. So the topic isn't clan related, the forum thread is related to a clf thread.

This developed out of a forum thread on the CLF - I am happy to see it remain on the CLF currently but should remain tied to CLF discussions, not running off on flights of fancy :) Mod MattHe | Former Community Manager, now in Events & occasional Lore Monkey

I think its bad overall for a company to continue to release unfinished products that eventually fall to the way-side. Just leaves piles and piles of dead content as newer monsters/training methods etc etc continue to be developed. 36/38 Boss Pets
