I very much hope they do some improvements to the in game clan system, it feels very outdated and frankly not as social as it should be.

This is the reason my clan pushes discord onto clan members because the current system just isn't as robust or easy to manage from a discord server.

I understand that clans have been left behind for a while now, however I still think we need to push these ideas out on how to improve the current system, because as it seems we are working around with what we got ingame.

Why should a community clan have a combat community citadel .

Within 1 hours drive from Cambridge is the Village of Long Melford in town of Sudbury .

Long Melford is the Location of a well Run Elizabethan Manor House called Kentwell Hall.


Kentwell Hall Gives Me Everything I think A clan area Should be. it even boast 2 website s

This gives us a clan Citadel Manor that warm fealing it Has Character rooms for Theatre Dancing, Partys, Feasting, Clan History ...

Outside are large grounds with Gardens Rare Farm animals.

Has many skilling displays it even has player owned houses Outbuilding sheds Barns

Throughout the year it has festive events in the grounds with games ( circus beach party nov fest) Halloween

Bands Music

School visits for new comers,

Archer s Pikemen Ghost ?

Kentwell is a true community

and has room to develop with more skills being added .

If its not broken dont fix it but i want far more for my clan Community than a Cold broken Scotish Broch.

But my dream for clan community area is far to large to be implemented into game i just dont want citadel to be a broch in 5 years time.

Clans were mentioned at runefest its good enough for me, atleast something will be out in 2018, also i got email from jagex on doing the latest survey and as always i mention about clans and citadels need upgraded lol, see where that goes .

Indeed. In the end they only mention something at runefest if it is beign actively worked on or is planned to. If they mention potential updates people will view them as 'promises', in turn people will become moody if there is a change of plans over potential update.

Therefore, even just a mention is still just stronger than no mention at all. It means Jagex are planning to actively work on a clan update.

Agreed with Lisa. We may have got a mention this time, but judging on the history of Jagex actually doing something, there is very low chance of anything happening. All they do is talk and say they will do this and they will do that, but how many things have they promised things that still haven't happened to this day? I'm not just talking about clans here. But don't get your hopes up just because they gave us a very vague shout-out.

I haven't posted here in awhile so here goes;

Wouldn't hold out your luck for this next year put it that way. They have "bigger and better" priorities going forward than clans, even though they should make an "essential" part of the community, after all they are saying how this game is community based.

Least they could do is show it to clans about what progress they would like to see. Speaking to clan leaders would be one way as we've all been around the block for a while and know what it takes to make a clan/run it.

The question here really is, what would you all like to see be incorporated to the game with regards to clans?

Sadly I think they are seeing how OSRS clans work in DMM and think that may be a popular move in RS3, to a lesser extent of course, but still they raised the idea of clans vying for domination of worlds.

Also, a concern I have, is that discussion about clan updates is now more on the side of the privately owned "Clan Leaders Discord" and that the voices of those who rely on this forum as their platform will go unheard.

Additionally, many excellent clan leaders do not register even for this forum. We have seen it happen before, that more private and personal discussions with Jmods, such as those happening within the Clan Leaders Discord and that have happened with personal fc's and twitters etc, can win out over community consensus. Let's please try to avoid it happening again or at least be aware that its a thing.

Personally when Mark was talking about Clans owning servers and owning specific pieces of content, that has no interest to me or my community.
We're a peaceful community that likes to keep ourselves to ourselves and swat away the advances of trolls just as other Clans do; we're not wanting to get into OSRS DMM shenanigans.

What we do want is just more beneficial updates to make general Clan life easier and more appealing to be a part of (that doesn't involve being a knob) so I certainly hope their update plans are talked thoroughly through with the majority us and not "Oh we assumed you wanted this based upon the feedback of talking to just one of our favourite clans" .

I'm still holding out and thinking this is a positive thing for Clans to come. Proud Owner of the

Are you kidding me ??? We have been promised improvements for years now this isn't new news to some of us!! my clans been around for almost 8 years once a vibrant and active clan has turned into the biggest friends chat the game is too afk! the game is to intense no one pays attention to cc discord and other communications have taken away from that in game feel of what really this game use to be!

I am not even going to sugar coat it anymore don't expect anything or have hopes it's a constant let down!
