My understanding from speaking to Mod Matthe and Mod Maz and their posts, you can leave and join a clan when you wish - However if you have capped in the citadel in your old clan and left then joined a new clan you would have to wait 7 days.

so, say for example, someone caps, leaves their clan, then joins another 5 days later, do they still have to then wait 7 days or would they only have the 2 day wait remaining?

i understand the original idea was to do the latter, so your ability to cap "cools down" for 7 days after your last (without the repective build tick ofcourse) but all that was mentioned in the update was that players can leave and join freely, so its been left rather fague as to the specifics.

Am I the only one that don't like this update?

I mean back before we had this update (where people had to wait 7 days to join a clan upon leaving or being kicked) people would have to think twice before leaving a clan, it also eliminated the problem smaller clans had faced where people would join a clan then leave after a few minutes only to join another clan and repeat.
With the 7 days wait, I had not seen any "clan hoppers" now with the removal of this cooldown the "clan hoppers" are back and people just don't think twice before joining a clan.

I would like to see this cooldown limited to 3 days at least rather then removed for good but then again.. Is it just me?

Edit: and no my clan hasn't faced any issues regarding this, but I think that every clan will face a hard time recruiting "quality" people.

Quality members can be hard to come by, especially for smaller clans, but I think you should consider this:

If someone is a member of any clan and wants to leave, they should be able to do so freely, as it is their choice. They shouldn't have a deterrent of feeling "forced" to remain in that clan just because they would need to wait a week before joining a new one.

Clan hoppers are neither loyal nor quality members, so it shouldn't something that people worry about so much. ~ Sicariu

And I think this should clear things up a bit about the new system:

It doesnt make any difference, if someone wants to leave a clan they will no matter if it takes 1 second or weeks of decision, a 1 week waiting period of not being in a clan wont stop them they will eventually leave and besides who wants members in the clan who dont really want to be there anyway.

Theres nothing stopping the clans from making their own recruitment policies along the same lines as what we use to have either, if they want "quality" as you put it then they just need to make their recruitment reflect that.
