I love the updates we've gotten this year for clans, particularly when consider the people working on them. The avatar updates and broadcasts have been often requested and from my anecdotal experiences around my clan and others, very well received. That plus a lot of the QoL stuff that maybe the majority of clan members don't see but helps us as leaders and organizers is immensely appreciated.

I think the forum isn't as active as it could be, but I don't think that means useless. As Shauny mentioned, each of a discord and forum share a purpose and a use for things. Plus as it's been mentioned, some people would prefer not to use a discord for everything. I don't think that means they should be locked out of things because of it.

I'd honestly invite more people into a forum like this than just two per clan. Legacy leaders have a very valuable role, as well as people that are not just the 1-2 for a clan. More people to provide feedback and ideas are always a good thing, and trying to slim that down more is a mistake. It's valuable to hear what people from all different viewpoints have seen and continue to see.

I do wish there were ways to use this forum more, but there are only so many resources that the current mods (primarily Shauny) can provide and I think he's done a lot with what he can. Ideally there would be a way to get more eyes here, but for what the hand we have dealt I still think it has plenty of use. I'm in no condition to post. Wait a minute - I don't have to listen to myself! I'm drunk

I appreciate what you're doing for clans, but I do share the sentiment that there hasn't been much content added in recent years that is suitable for clans/groups to partake in. All the clans I've ever been part of were event based, meaning we did things together with up to 200 people. It's what I enjoyed most in this game, and also what I enjoy in other games. RS3 just doesn't have multiplayer content to that extent anymore, as most minigames are completely dead, PvP combat is widely regarded as unenjoyable and PvM and skilling are more solo/duo/trio activities. RS3 continuously gets Treasure Hunter promotions yet a lot of actual group game content is being left to die because somehow there's no time to update it or add some new rewards. It's frustrating. People have complained for a long time about clans having no actual purpose, hence the avatar/citadel were made but the underlying problem just hasn't been solved. RuneScape is a multiplayer game, and teaming up with other people should directly aid your gameplay and not be a burden. But in most areas of the game, having other players around you will drag down your GP/XP rates.

I'm glad this forum isn't going away as I've been here since Timbo-time, but I do believe that this forum has lost some of it's value since the old days. It's also due to this community, and the game in general, having lost its diversity. RS used to cater to a lot of different crowds, while in recent years it's mostly just PvM and skilling getting all the attention while people with different interests moved to OSRS or completely different games. I really don't see anyone having discussions aymore about what kind of content would actually make the game more enjoyable and make more people log in to RS3 to have some fun.
